I love watching college ball, and I am all for this rule. Unsportsmanlike conduct makes for an uglier game and it promotes a negative sporting culture off the field; just look at the University of Oregon.

simon666 - 2011-10-10

What happened with the Ducks?

fatatty - 2011-10-10

And everyone should get a trophy so no one gets their feelings hurt.

The Mothership - 2011-10-10

unsportsmanlike bunch of thugs, if you ask me. Racking up big points and stats against teams from lower leagues in exhibition games; playing rough and clearly tackling to injure; multiple felony counts including burglary and drugs; largest college in the state and so they think they own the place; coach named Chip (seriously, Chip is such a petty-tyrant little-league coach name). None of this is new to college sports, but the Ducks are some serious offenders in terms of sportsmanship.

And no, I am not an OSU fan.

But I am a Husky.

baleen - 2011-10-10

I know nothing about football and this is so obviously yet another redneck rigged/bribed who-gives-a-shit football game that I don't even care.

catpenis27 - 2011-10-10

Two opposing forces, fighting for territory using brute strength and if totally necessary, very basic trickery. And all the while without making fun of each other. Forgive me, but this has to be the most obviously American game on the planet. This fucking war ballet that we pull every now and then. Kill or injure as many people as possible, but for Christsake, don't use a bad word to describe the people we're murdering.

Change - 2011-10-11

I also take men in tight pants seriously.

The Mothership - 2011-10-17

you sound like my kinda girl, change.

sosage - 2011-10-10

You're allowed to crush a man's bones, but not his ego. Keep those arms swinging at 8 o'clock and 4 o'clock mister.

Now everyone go get your participation trophies.

Chancho - 2011-10-10

Why don't they just rename the game Queerball for all the pansies that make gay rules so they don't get their woman feelings hurt.

SolRo - 2011-10-10

BouncerMan can't stand watching sports where being a dick is frowned upon! BouncerMan wants vicious assholerry while he eats his doritos and drinks his light beer!!

Rudy - 2011-10-10

Riskbreaker - 2011-10-10

I feel this rule is dumb, but then again, i don't even watch football, so what do i know.

Mancakes - 2011-10-10

Football is even shittier than I thought.

Ursa_minor - 2011-10-10

That is pretty retarded.

joelkazoo - 2011-10-10

Since they don't (legally) pay college players, the powers that be can't threaten the players with fines like they do in the NFL (which, if you're a big-salary player, don't hurt you, anyway), so this is the next best thing. On the other hand, I can see how this rule could very easily be abused.

GravidWithHate - 2011-10-10

The ultimate standard by which a rule should be judged is does it make the game better or worse.

You cannot tell me that this rule made this game better.

Robin Kestrel - 2011-10-10

Dumb.

jangbones - 2011-10-10

no fun allowed

Anaxagoras - 2011-10-10

I look forward to the time when a player runs to the referee crying claiming that the other team made fun of his big nose.

SixDigitDebt - 2011-10-22

Why not just make all touchdowns worth zero points THEN EVERYONE IS A WINNER
