I remember this.

Half American Gladiators, half Mortal Kombat.

In a parallel universe UFC evolved from this, and paralleluniversepoetv.com has all sorts of extra awesome videos of people dressed like GWAR, Godzilla, and various aircraft beating each other half to death.

And they're making comments about how much our universe sucks.

The woman who hosted this is Bruce Lee's daughter.

Failed in some sense I'm sure but not in every sense.

Loving the one in the blue moon and stars getup. Like he got ninjas confused with cartoon wizards and didn't realize his mistake until right before it was time to start the taping and just had to try to play it off.

Also, I'm nerd enough to know that "Red Dragon" was Scorpion in the Mortal Kombat movies.

And that the dude who shows up at 3:00 also had a fight scene in one of them.

Uh...

Forget I said anything.

Yes, I remember this show. Bruce Lee's daughter hosted it. It would always come on after all the Saturday morning cartoons were over and at odd hours on Sunday. We'd always turn the channel immediately when it started.

But one day I remember me and my cousins actually tried to sit and watch it. I remember there being some subplot about one of the fighters named Bam and a little kid who looked like him (his son maybe?) named Little Bam and his initiation ceremony into being in league with the rest of them, which involved freezing his ponytail and breaking it off with a hammer.

Even as elementary school kids obsessed with Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers, we laughed our asses off at how bad the whole thing was.

Failed? Yeah, failed like a fox! Aside from the aforementioned daughter of Bruce Lee, this show featured Ho Sung Pak (Lui Kang and Raphael from the TMNT movies), Taimak (Bruce Leeroy), The Machine (not sure what his real name was, but he had a cameo in the first Mortal Kombat movie AND Blood Moon!), Scorpion from the MK movies, and if memory serves, two or three of the various Power Rangers stunt doubles. Sure, it was awful, and almost as unwatchable as MK: Konquest, but this was a masterful piece of shlock.

It's still real to me, damn it!
