So, just to make sure I'm understanding this: these parents are of the "vaccines cause austisms and make my child not an indigo special one" type, right? So they think that GIVING their children chicken pox will give them immunity to it before they are brutally assaulted with the actual vaccine. Am I correct?

The funny thing about this? Varicella(chicken pox) needs live cells to live. So while there may be a buccal cell with the virus replicating inside when an infected child spits/licks the lolli, chances are that cell is dead and thus so is the virus when that candy arrives. What DOESN'T die easily is Streptococcus pyogenes(strep throat) and Stapholococcus aureus(Staph infection, MRSA) which has an easier time growing on children with a current chicken pox infection. So that's what you really end up giving your child.
Then again I doubt these people know this if they doubt vaccines are safer.

Louis Armstrong - 2011-11-10 Not denying MRSA is a motherfucker(spent a week in the hospital myself after a small pimple became a tunneling abcess into my leg), but do you have a source that confirms MRSA was the culprit? flu(even H1N1) can be fatal to children, and MRSA is everywhere. Perhaps it was growing on them while the flu was happening?
