Every episode with Marceline in it makes it clear that she is somebody's idea of the perfect woman.
You could apply that to Bonibelle Bubblegum when you think about it. Now Jake is the ideal sidekick/talking pie that a person could hope to have.
I think they sometimes pander a little too much to the oft-creepy AT fanbase with the girls. Maybe pander isn't the right word, idk.
Yeah every episode with her reeks pretty strong of fan fiction. Even creepier that someone made her a mary sue considering she's a complete sociopath.
