Seems that in the second half you play as Rose, fighting chickens and octopi while escaping the sinking ship. And boss fights involving Rose taking a meat cleaver to a fat man with a shotgun...
Where were movie games like this in the NES day?! All we got was crap like Total Recall and such!
I like how the game is coded in a way that causes the player to take damage whenever his sprite is touched by an enemy, yet all the attacks are melee attacks which involve his sprite touching an enemy. This is more apparent in part two where rose dies through enemies counterattacking her in the axe.
I think that's because the player was using the staple special move of side scrolling beat-em ups which involves sacrificing health for a stronger move, uppercut for Jack and the axe for Rose.
Although it seems somewhat weak in this game since it usually ranges from an attack hitting any target near the character to something which hits everything on screen.
