"We are proud to bring you this new film about Marijuana. It enables all to see, hear, and learn the truths."
Wow, Marijuana can do that? Sign me up! I'm sick of not knowing the truths!
I skipped ahead to a random point and it seems that the writer thinks people deal drugs via some sort of Tupperware party system, where you invite upscale couples to your home and give a presentation on weed and why it's worth investing in.
Whatever she was saying at the end must have been too shocking for 1949's audiences to hear. She must have said that the only way to stop marijuana was to desegregate the military.
The lead in this, Lila Leeds, was arrested with Robert Mitchum on charges of possession of marijuana a year before this was released and she starred in this as part of her attempt at rehabbing her image. Her career never recovered. Kinda sad. I thought she was great in "The Lady In The Lake".
