egoraptor? The animator? He seems like he'd be too self-aware to take this seriously. I imagine he is trolling.
I have a friend who work QA for microsoft game studios. He talked about the company like it was Jesus, but then regaled me with tales of walling against walls all day to detect any clipping issues. It's the absolute bottom rung of the games industry, generally reserved for the fast turnaround McDonald's applicants to think playing games all day would be awesome and almost nobody gets promoted out of it. The only way out is through the door you walked in through or the rope hanging from the ceiling in the bathroom.
The industry loves attention whores with gimmicks. So there is a chance the right contestant could woo their way into a non-QA development position based off of being lovingly wacky. Not so much knowing anything about design, art or programming.
...but yeah. They are pretty much selling off their 15 minutes competing for a soul sucking, spirit crushing entry position that is typically a dead end.
