Basically what they been bitching since RE4 came out: that the games don't have generic big loud "BOOS!" or the cinematic camera angles that don't let you play the game properly.

I'd been out of the shooter genre for some time, but MW2 was my first foray back in since the UT series. It took me a while to figure out the new mechanics of "duck behind wall to let your health regen, and it's no use shooting the baddies that keep coming out because there's an infinite supply of them, and good luck trying to deviate from the pre-set corridor of explosions you have no choice but to run through with only one real way to solve each level."

It's on a Nintendo console, so of course nerds will defend it.

Which is a shame, as everything I've read about the 3DS game makes me want to play it... switching between post-RE4 style action oriented chapters and more classic scavenge/hide/run chapters sounded good, and the review aggregate is encouraging. Oh well, there's always pre-owned.

I have yet to see a good argument as to why that game should somehow just naturally, obviously cost less than 50 bucks because it's on a handheld. Other than 'I want to pay less money' which is an excellent argument, but applies to all platforms. Peculiar-as-fuck phenomenon.

Are we talking about the one that just came out or the one that is essentially a mini-game with a save system that screws anyone buying the game second hand?

I look forward to playing the shitty PC port when it is released in about four years.

@poorwill, similarly, I haven't heard a good argument why this game should be more, either. I know a gig or two doesn't cost that much, and like I said, it doesn't work the other way with cheaper medium.

The best reason I can give you for not liking this, other than being a cheap bastard, which I am, (you will too after you have kids) is that once we allow this shit, everyone is going to try it.

In general, gamers are willing to let companies walk all over them because they can't wait any longer to play their next game. Thanks to that, now we see things like in game DLC ads (dragon age being the worst), or half-games being sold at , with the other half coming along in chunks (CoD), and subscription services for mundane offerings (CoD, Uncharted 3). This whole thing just seems like an excuse of Capcom's to test the waters and see if they can get by with selling portable games at console prices. More will follow, I'm sure of that much, especially in the Resident Evil franchise. (The only franchise of theirs Capcom hasn't ruined yet.)

Nope, the better entries are known and appreciated for their goofy, nonsensical plots and dialogue.
