For anypony *not* familiar with this little piece of MLP:FiM fandom, this is inspired by some especially disturbing fanfiction. Here's a description:

bopeton - 2012-01-22

Well, evil enough, but -1 for making someone say "anypony" on PoETV

Corpus Delectable - 2012-01-22

We're all Bronies now.

Cena_mark - 2012-01-22

Ha ha! Dorks!

Xenocide - 2012-01-22

This is absolutely sickening. Who the hell still listens to Andrew WK?

Riskbreaker - 2012-01-22

No thanks, bro.

WHO WANTS DESSERT - 2012-01-22

I don't know if this is supposed to be fap material or someone from the Shmorky school of edginess trying to blow our sheep minds with cute things being bloody and violent.

Mancakes - 2012-01-22

Considering Schmorky drew baby furries in diapers to masturbate to, both!

Mancakes - 2012-01-22

Also, ponies.

Xenocide - 2012-01-22

It's defiantly got that Schmorky feel to it, with the lazy shock value gags and the whole "let's substitute stupid faces for humor" thing.

BiggerJ - 2012-01-22

Didn't he just draw those furries for money? Or is there more to the story?

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-01-22

If any of the story doesn't let us say were better than the people of Something Awful, then we don't want to hear it.

duck&cover - 2012-01-22

Happy Tree Ponies.

The Mothership - 2012-01-22

pretty weak.

BiggerJ - 2012-01-22

This was done by one of the animators of the actual show. And if you think this is bad fanservice, you should see who featured in the most recent episode.

Cena_mark - 2012-01-22

Goddamn that retarded animation error stealing Applejack's lime light.

Shoebox Joe - 2012-01-22

Where did you get that from? He says he's a hasbro animator but none of the credits even match remotely.

Meerkat - 2012-01-22

You mean it wasn't really directed by Steven Spielberg?

:o(

Shoebox Joe - 2012-01-22

Stars for you *****

I'm still torn on how to rate this video. Mainly becuase I'm personally biased towards any super gore that's even remotely absurd. :(

EvilHomer - 2012-01-22

I wanted to hate this, I really did. To make up for my rating, I'll give all future MLP videos one stars.

I've been wondering something, perhaps one of you bronies can fill me in: do little kids actually watch this show? Did they ever? Has MLP always been like this? Or was there a point when the animators, realizing they'd accidentally snagged a core demographic of sexually insecure males born in the 80s, decided to say fuck it and follow the current where it led?

Cena_mark - 2012-01-22

Evil homer. As the reluctant Brony I know My Little Pony sucked and always sucked. The prior cartoons were just absolute girly girl drivel. But that was the 80s. It was era of the animation ghetto. Cartoons were just quickly produced to turn a buck. Think of all that has changed since then in society's opinion of animation. Adults are no longer afraid to love cartoons and society no longer judges adult cartoon lovers in as negative a light. Now animators are taken seriously and this is what has come from that.

EvilHomer - 2012-01-22

Oh, yeah, I remember the 80s version. I watched a few episodes of it back in preschool, but (surprise surprise!) I felt deeply ashamed of myself because of how girly it was, spent a few days angsting over what my friends would think if they caught me, and never watched it again.

I'm more wondering about this new version of MLP. I've never seen any fully episodes, so I'm totally clueless. Has Friendship is Magic always been so... hip? And self-aware? Were the early episodes of Friendship is Magic innocent kids stuff, like the 80s version, and only later turned into "John K Trips Balls on Planet RainbowFag"? Or was snagging adult audiences always the plan, like Yo Gabba Gabba, Invader Zim, and, in a sense, even Sesame Street?

And seriously, how many kids watch this show? I guess I could understand if the show was split between 20-and-30-something dads and their preschool aged children, but I don't think I've ever seen, or even heard of, anyone under the age of 16 watching it.

Xenocide - 2012-01-22

If you google you can find quite a few official statements from Hasbro about the popularity of their various brands.

Long story short: MLP is actually really popular with little girls right now. Probably the most it's ever been, in fact.

EvilHomer - 2012-01-22

Well, this was interesting:

Thanks, Google!

Jane Error - 2012-01-22

My friend's six-year-old daughter adores this show. It's very easy to buy her birthday gifts because all she wants is MLP crap.

Cena_mark - 2012-01-22

Just watch some episodes on youtube. I initially did so to figure what the hell was up with the meme. WARNING: You might get hooked and become a lame ass brony like me.

RocketBlender - 2012-01-22

I wouldn't call myself a brony, but of all the shows I have to sit down with my kid for, MLP is, by far, the most tolerable.

Any cartoon that I do like (regular show, for example) id never let my kid watch.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-01-22

Hasn't this 'story' caused us enough heartbreak already?! ONE STAR!

RocketBlender - 2012-01-22

Seriously. Happy Tree Friends styled bullshit doesn't make ponies any more tolerable.

Macho Nacho - 2012-01-22

Et tu,Caminante ?

Sudan no1 - 2012-01-23

It's just that time of month, I'm sure he actually loves it.

Adham Nu'man - 2012-01-22

LOL THEY ARE CUTE BUT THERE IS VIOLENCE LOLOLOL

Jane Error - 2012-01-22

Not to get all Helen Lovejoy, but there are no warnings about the video on YouTube and it would be pretty terrible if the actual legitimate fans (you know, the five-year-olds) came across this. Bronies need to get their heads out of their asses and realize the show isn't actually FOR them.

Great song, though.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-01-22

Oh yeah, wrap your asshole whining up in a sheet of moral outrage, that'll make you sound better.

Cena_mark - 2012-01-22

I actually agree with her. The bronies have totally hijacked the show without any concern for the true intended audience. I'm pretty sure innocent young children may have already put in google image searches for something pony related and have discovered some awful Rule 34 shit.

RocketBlender - 2012-01-22

I'm with Jane and Cena here. It's hard enough keeping your kids safe in this age without searches for their favorite kids shows resulting in bloodbaths and bestiality porn.

In the brony defense though, the same shit happens with every Disney property when safe search is turned off.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-01-22

panic mongers, the whole lot of you!

Jane Error - 2012-01-22

Caminante, I'm not morally outraged by its existence--it should just be more upfront about its content. Even a perfunctory "warning: graphic violence" or "not intended for children" in the description would be sufficient.

Also, I'm having trouble with your instructions: how do I whine up my asshole? And do I fashion my sheet of moral outrage before or after I'm done whining it? Will this involve an extra rinse cycle?

Adham Nu'man - 2012-01-22

Children are well known for not clicking on things that say "WARNING NOT FOR CHILDREN"

Jane Error - 2012-01-22

Adham: the warning is there for the parents, not the children. Kids under seven really shouldn't go on the internet un-monitored.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-01-22

Yes, god forbid the obedient little sheep accidentally learn the dreaded INDEPENDENT THOUGHT on the Evil Internet!

Adham Nu'man - 2012-01-22

Yeah I agree with you Jane, I was just being an ass.

Sudan no1 - 2012-01-23

OP tried to tell everyone that they didn't take this video very seriously by saying "not to get Helen Lovejoy," but turds like Caminante still treated her like Helen Lovejoy.

Sakura would be very disappointed.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-01-25

Don't you dare presume to lecture me on how Sakura-chan would react to this! Don't you dare even bring her name up in this kind of conversation!

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-01-23

I only saw a few episodes of this show when it first aired. It was okay. Then I forgot about it and the next thing I know, the economic collapse sucked America of its will to live and bronies were reigning supreme.

Then this clip happened. Here's your one star.

Vicious - 2013-04-14

I started doing my Andrew WK dance and then they started doing it and then it was just murder and French food all over the place.
