Without watching the whole show, yet, my theory is the guy just got bored from knowing so much science.

memedumpster - 2012-01-23 Wait, so Newton's invention of calculus in a few months is bullshit because instead of taking two years of college to learn it, it takes two years of high school?
I'd like to state for the record that I wouldn't hit Tha Sugah Rain.
|
Meerkat - 2012-01-23 That is not at all what he said. He was merely crowing about how Mr. Buddy takes two years to learn calculus, while Tha Sugah Rain took only one semester I mean two semesters in High School.
For the record, I didn't take calculus until first semester of first year University while my nieces both took calculus in high school. So I guess it really is different for everyone.
Also as an aside, if I had taken calculus in high school I probably would have been a lot more interested and not spent all my time playing computer games on the Apple in the room next door (and I probably would have ended up with a better grade).
So yeah, the money shot is MrBuddy is "special".

THA SUGAH RAIN - 2012-01-23 Memedumpster doesn't know what a semester is, nor grasp the concept the kids on his/her lawn can master this dude's entire life's work before they are old enough to drive.
|
memedumpster - 2012-01-23 So what have you guys invented that never existed before and changed the world as we know it?
Sure isn't snark.
|
simon666 - 2012-01-23 Pshhhhhh. Everyone knows that Leibniz invented calculus and Newton ripped him off.
|
cognitivedissonance - 2012-01-24 Liebniz also invented a delicious biscuit that goes nice with tea. Then again, so did Newton. Toughie.

After his death, Newton's body was discovered to have had massive amounts of mercury in it, probably resulting from his alchemical pursuits. Mercury poisoning could explain Newton's eccentricity in late life.

No Highway by Nevil Chute. The book, not the film, which includes the plot line that the researcher who discovers metal fatigue also believes Christ visited Great Britain, and his superiors have to decide if this discredits his findings. Like that.
