They went with Boxart Megaman. Gutsy.

It's like he never left.

Xenocide - 2012-01-27

He looks like he's in full-on midlife crisis mode.

Squeamish - 2012-01-27

I will never stop loving Fat Megaman.

RocketBlender - 2012-01-27

I've never actually wanted to play this game before now.

Xenocide - 2012-01-27

Same here. I want to play as fat box art Mega Man more than I've ever wanted to play as any of Tekken's cast of emo anime stereotypes.

Vaidency - 2012-01-27

I had payed no attention whatsoever to this game while it was in development, but whatever glorious bastard convinced Capcom to include the original Mega Man gets a tip of the hat.

RocketBlender - 2012-01-27

Exactly. Of all the fighters I've played, trekked always had the least interesting lineup. At least until now.

poorwill - 2012-01-27

All of these characters look great until Cole shows up and it's like who the fuck is this boring non-entity focus-testing disaster and what is he doing in this awesome videogame trailer?

Udderdude - 2012-01-27

Trolled into next century.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-01-27

Okay, Capcom. You win. I'll do whatever you want.

EvilHomer - 2012-01-27

>:(

Riskbreaker - 2012-01-27

You really start to feel old when you see so many people oblivious as to who that fat mega man is.

EvilHomer - 2012-01-27

"wtf?!

megaman 40 year old after a life full of alcohol and drugs!!!

ps3 guys can keep that one i don't bother

lol

What I really want to know is whether Pacman will have a "hide in the Corner and Turn Invincible" move.

poorwill - 2012-01-27

Pac-Man needs to be able to eat characters, leaving them as a helpless pair of hovering eyeballs.

Void 71 - 2012-01-27

'Angry fanbase' is the perfect tag for this. Shoryuken has to be the most miserable and depressing video game related forum I've ever been to.

Riskbreaker - 2012-01-27

Tournament nerds, nuff said. The funny thing is, every single one crying about this is most likely going to buy the game anyway, and then the Super Ultra Ultimate Arcade Edition when it comes out 5 months later.

Vaidency - 2012-01-27

The charm of the "Capcom vs ______" series of games is entirely found in its combination of nostalgia and absurdity. They're probably the most videogamish series of videogames ever produced.

Any community that takes itself really seriously probably doesn't enjoy them at all.

themilkshark - 2012-01-27

That's a great interpretation of Mega Man.

memedumpster - 2012-01-28

Mega Man must have beaten Washed Out Shouting Profanity While Drunk On A Corner At Your Kids Man and absorbed his power.

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-01-28

Riskbreaker - 2012-01-28

"no words... that game just lost all seriousness

TheAleux 4 minutes ago"

SRS BUSSINESS!

WHO WANTS DESSERT - 2012-01-28

Haha they even made his helmet off-center

Riskbreaker - 2012-01-28

I really REALLY want to see a "Mega Man" game with that guy in that style. It would probably feel like Running Man: The Movie.

Redford - 2012-01-28

Among the cancellation of Mega Man Legends 3, I think Capcom has become a little resentful of it's fan base.

cognitivedissonance - 2012-01-29

I'm still holding out for Scrooge McDuck in one of these.
