At least he plays with them.

Are we sure this isn't a fetish?

RedHood - 2012-01-30

If it is then I approve.

Binro the Heretic - 2012-01-30

What wonderfully detailed tiny things.

Are there any videos of these things being crafted?

EvilHomer - 2012-01-30

Not sure, but if you check this (guy's? girl's?) channel, there's a ton of videos featuring edible powdered food being crafted in the most complicated ways possible.

It's soothing, and strangely hypnotic.

Japanese police detectives need a supplemental income too.

Binro the Heretic - 2012-01-31

I was just wondering about the process behind manufacturing such small yet complex objects.

I remember an old episode of Saturday Night Live with John Malkovich (I think) as a guy who made tiny ceramic food for dollhouses. When the interviewer asked if it was hard making something like rice, he replied "Yes, it's almost not worth it."

This is fucking hypnotizing!

American Standard - 2012-01-30

The stubborn dead silence is always the worst part about Japanese videos.

Urist - 2012-01-30

I started making sound effects part way through...

EvilHomer - 2012-01-30

I like the silence. On the fourth or fifth video I watched, Youtube decided to show me a fifteen second Lexus ad; the sudden influx of sound was jarring and totally killed the mood. It was like wandering through a serene monastery, deep in contemplation, and then a monk rips a giant fart.

RockBolt - 2012-05-15

The background silence mixed with the noises of preparing tiny foods is nice and relaxing, and the editing keeps it brisk and light

Noober - 2012-01-30

No! Don't grab that with your fingers, it's HOT! AAAAAH!!!

Redford - 2012-01-31

For some reason this made me want to watch the Altoid Tin Martini Kit video. I don't even know why.

Disaster - 2012-01-31

I love this guy! His videos are so relaxing with the snapping and crinkling noises.

Riskbreaker - 2012-01-31

Interesting, if it's actually a guy that would explain why he avoids appearing on camera, and even talking. Japanese society considers cakes a very "girly" hobby, and men who are a bit too much into it are consider "herviborous" males.

Macho Nacho - 2012-01-31

He is a guy and has posted a video with his face in it before, but had to take it down because there were threats made against him.

Riskbreaker - 2012-01-31

CAKE AFICIONADO PERSECUCION! WHEN WILL THIS MADNESS STOP?!

But seriously, what the fuck, can't a man enjoy his plastic miniature toys and cherry cakes in peace anymore?

spikestoyiu - 2012-01-31

My girlfriend's got a bunch of this shit, hanging on our wall. It is definitely not at this level, though.

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-01-31

Plastic food just made me hungry. Man.

grimcity - 2012-01-31

This makes me a little hungry.

chumbucket - 2012-01-31

grimcity: I had JUST now thought of that comment! stars
