The submission page now has a new way to check for duplicate tags. It should make more sense now.
There is also a dupe button in the hopper. I debated adding the ability to include a link. Let's start with this and see if we need it.

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-02-12 Is there any way to add the ability to edit a submissions while it is still in the hopper? I frequently screw up links, tags, or spellings on submissions and can't fix them till they get accepted.

I think submitting to 73Q is broken. I clicked "submit a music video" and put in the artist and everything, but instead of going straight in to 73Q it sent it to the hopper. You may want to check it out. If I could delete my submission and try it again to make sure I would.
So yeah, please excuse my upbeat 80s Whitney song in the hopper guys. I know it belongs on 73Q.

support - 2012-02-12 Nope. Well no more than normal. You submitted it as https which causes some problems and throws it into the hopper. I will look at that bug.

memedumpster - 2012-02-12 Downvoters also aren't being shown on some videos, like "Woman enters courthouse with concealed weapon on her person," but I assumed that was to protect the guilty. It says one person downvoted, but there's no name. I thought I upvoted it, but perhaps I hit a wrong button or it put the number on the wrong side, I don't know.

What makes a dupe vote different from a downvote?
Also, can dupe votes alone kill a video? I can see some videos that split the community (anything by Tim and Erik, for example) suffering from dupe button abuse.

fatatty - 2012-02-12 I think the point is that people will know WHY you're down voting. So that we don't get big battles in the hopper when half of the people think it's being down voted because it's a bad video when really it's just a dupe.
I could see it being abused but I think that would be rare in this community.

An idea came to mind. What about a tag system that allows viewers to add tags to the video? A good example is the Zoidberg Mud Crab video. It contains no Mud Crab tag, which is already linked. The only way to have a tag added is to be the prude who points it out in the comments, hoping the post's author updates it.
