This is depressing, but at the same time it isn't. No matter what happens next, this event cannot unhappen, and that will continue to undermine the comfort of power for a long time. These people, unlike a lot of Americans, do not believe they have no future.

america is going down the drain with no end in sight, people are trying to hang on to what little they have instead of trying to change things.

most of these people are at the bottom of the drain, so they have little reason to try clinging on to some little dream that things will improve if they act like their government tells them to.
