Watch out, Tiger Electronics, a new two-tone LCD game boss is in town!

256 games = 16 games x 16 skill levels, in case anyone was wondering

My nerd eye spots that the cartridge being thrown away is Street Fighter II...the game every kid of that generation wanted. The game every kid that had to play Race Car wished he had gotten for Christmas.

Void 71 - 2012-02-25 1998? Holy shit, the entire fighting game craze was over and the 16-bit systems were long since dead by the time this thing came out.

Xenocide - 2012-02-25 Never buy another cartridge again! Because the format has been obsolete for years!

Alright, guys. We have 3 weeks to write 200 games for this thing. Let's get crackin'!

there's a special place in hell for the parents who purchased this for their children.

I used to have this exact guts this handheld had, except it was a massive black rectangle and whenever you scored any points in any game a British guy yelled "FIGHT BACK!" or "GOOD WORK!".

Dread Pirate Roberts - 2012-02-25
No shit, I owned one of these and it is even worse than you can imagine.
|
spiteful crow - 2012-02-25
Yeah, some well meaning relative bought me one of these, or at least some similar knockoff product, way back when. It really is mostly a hundred barely-altered variations on Tetris.
Needless to say my SNES did not wind up in the garbage.

You can still buy these on Amazon. The price hasn't went down.
|
themilkshark - 2012-02-25 I think that's the most disturbing part, that they're STILL ripping off parents and disappointing kids.
|
Deplorable - 2012-02-25
I got one of these from my grandma and I loved the shit out of it. I mainly played tetris on it, but there were a few other good ones. The higher skill levels were basically impossible. Shut up, I didn't have an SNES, so I had to make do.

How is "not available in stores" a good thing?
If it was worth something and actually a good product, wouldn't it be sold everywhere?
|
themilkshark - 2012-02-27 Yeah, you have to go out of your way to disappoint somebody
