I wonder if he has some videos on the unit circle or functions. It'd probably be a great way to fall asleep.

Done with his characteristic overattention to details.

Is Ulillillia actually contributing to the Khan Academy?

Oops, not meant to be a reply. I'd play the hell out of Uli Teaches Typing, though.

My simple and obvious method for remembering which is the numerator and which is the denominator is to just take the first three letters of each word.

When I put things in my mouth, I say "NUM". So the Numerator, "NUM", is on top.

When I go in the "DEN", I sit on my ass. So the Denominator, "DEN", is the bottom.

Because I sit on my bottom and shove food in my mouth, the Numerator, "NUM", is above the Denominator, "DEN".

Unless I'm too fat to get up and have to eat laying in a bed.

The way I remember it is numerator is derived from the same source as number, and the part on top of a fraction is the actual number that the part on the bottom is giving context to. And denominator is from the same source as denomination, which is not a concept of numbers but of classicifications, which is what the bottom number in a fraction is meant to show.

On the main page this post can be read as "Ulillillia adds up numbers - Educational boner"

I had to work with algebraic fractions earlier too, but it wasn't as nice without Ulillillia's dulcet tones coming from my speakers.

Uli, please do quaternions some time.

Incredibly, this video has edits.

I've always wondered how to pronounce Ulillillia. So... why does he use that for his (nick?)name?

kingofthenothing - 2012-10-08

Alright this is probably years/months too late and nobody cares by now but he basically got tired of usernames he could think of being already taken, and just wanted something that would be long enough and hard to spell so that he could just use it on pretty much every site as his handle and be sure no one took it first. That the name is kind of unique and makes him instantly recognizable was probably a byproduct.
