You'd have teen drama as the show's core, like they're high school students, all worrying about picture day and Derek's First Boner and Wednesday's track meet and such, and then every couple of nights, a monster appears in the town in the dead of night - one made manifest by say Derek's unresolved shame of his first boner - they have to get on their home-made monster capturing outfits and dig out their spirit guns and sneak out of their houses, and then it's just Ghostbusters, as they wrassle a heavily symbolic phallic ghost panda across a closed K-Mart, ensuing massive amounts of collateral damage in the name of ecto justice.

It would make a season, then ratings would drop and they'd kill off Derek and like PRETEND like it NEVER HAPPENED even though he was Kimmy's BEST FRIEND FOREVER and she would NEVER FORGET HIM HOW COULD THEY DO THIS TO THEIR FANS it's like they don't even CARE
