FABIO - 2012-05-31

I ran out of words long ago to describe my sadness of this country's outdated, xenophobic, nationalistic cold war approach to everything.

chumbucket - 2012-03-08

Hit Like if you care about these kids but all you're willing to do is hit a little button on your overpriced child labor phone.

I'm not sure I'm completely comfortable with Skweezy making poignant social commentary.

chairsforcheap - 2012-03-08

how about if he does it amazingly well

hammsangwich - 2012-03-08

No doubt, but it just makes me yearn for the simpler times when he told stories about hiding rings in McMuffins.

blue vein steel - 2012-03-08

really reminds me of a cool guy i went to high school with, but i have a feeling every high school has one

blue vein steel - 2012-03-08

the funny "wigger" who had good weed and is always fun to hang out with

StanleyPain - 2012-03-08

This was pretty much my reaction to this when I got up this morning and most of my news feed on facebook was this KONY 2012 thing. People who literally have never voiced a political opinion or even a recognition of anything going on the world apart from "OMG MY FAVORITE EPISODE OF BIG BANG THEORY IS ON!" were posting about Uganda and Rwanda as if it had been their cause for years and years.

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-03-08

Right on Skweezy.
The moment when I heard about that KONY thing, I knew it would probably help no one and change nothing in Africa. You can always tell by the way you hear about these things too, and I heard about it first from this kid I went to high school with and who I don't in any way trust the opinion of. I didn't even watch it. Then it gets on NPR and shit a day later, and I thought "oh boy! Here we go with the ol' White Man's Burden thing again."
Why do a bunch of misinformed middle-class white kids that think liking and sharing some video is going to equal a bullet in the back of that fucker's skull, and that massive psychological and social repairs will just roll in for that whole region. There are thousands of Konys out there, and more waiting in the wings. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm guessing this campaign will do nothing except convince some kids that they've "made a difference", while Kony will probably just be patient and wait it out until they forget about it next news cycle... you know, later this week.

fedex - 2012-03-09

I think you mean later today...ah, there we go, IRAN IRAN IRAN

Macho Nacho - 2012-03-09

Funny you mention the whole White Man's Burden thing because that is one of the criticisms they address in their response:

Note that they use the picture of where they're holding guns for their banner. Not a douchey move at all.

BHWW - 2012-03-09

It's plainly obvious it's the first time any of those pansy-looking slackers have even touched a firearm.

Second they look like they're about to launch into a song for FreeCreditReports.com

candyheadrobot - 2012-03-09

you're right, the truth siren is too much for me in this case, but this one isn't so bad:

Robin Kestrel - 2012-03-09

Tim Savage, huh. Weird to see him out of character.

craptacular - 2012-03-09

2:30. this guy is spot on

deadpan - 2012-03-09

A glimpse into an alternate dimension where Paddy Chayefsky lived on to write a merciless satire of social media.

memedumpster - 2012-03-09

That seems like the first thing he's said that I think might actually be his opinion, or he's getting better.

EvilHomer - 2012-03-09

Are you trying to imply that his other videos were, on some level, satirical? No, I refuse to believe that. Still real, dammit, etc.

FABIO - 2012-05-31

Wait, there are people who think this isn't a character?

Robin Kestrel - 2012-03-09

Word.
