Let's put it this way: If you're being Fred, who's annoying while trying to do something resembling entertainment (for who, I'm not sure), that's one thing. If you're showing off your tits and just responding to whatever is trending on YouTube so your channel gets hits (and ad revenue), that's spam.

She is the focus of most of the hate for these "reply" girls because 1.) she's openly admitted she does what she does solely to make money and get hits and 2.) she's prolific to the point of insanity probably making hundreds of videos a week solely to spam YT. There was a point where this kind of shit pretty much only effected users whose viewing habits on YT were watching shitty "top videos" and things like that, but now these girls are spreading out into ANYTHING that's remotely popular or gets a lot of hits. It's one thing, I suppose, when the latest video abortion by Ray William Johnson has nothing but "reply girl" related videos, but it's another when a TED lecture or something starts being effected by the same bullshit cancer.

I, for one, am fully confident in my ability to harbor deep, equitable loathing towards reply girls, "geek" girls, and Fred, all at the same time.

If you'll pardon the expression, length doesn't enter into it. It's mostly if you own everything in the video and/or if YouTube's gatekeepers think your vid deserves revenue sharing.

It wasn't just her. Hell, she's not even the original reply girl. It's what she and her ilk have done, which is make browsing Youtube casually near-impossible. for about a month, the related videos column for any video over 10,000 views was, for me at least, FILLED with almost nothing but reply girls replying to the video.

Wanna watch TED talks? Hope you know 'em all by name, bro, cuz the related videos column is just reply girls, filling the dead air with "Ummms" and "Wells..." while they waggled their tits for 5-8 minutes. Like any remotely popular musician? It's reply girls showing up in the column, not other vids by them. And so on.

They're gaming the system, breaking an important function to do so, and making money doing it. I am filled with glee at their demise.

It's yet another form of spam in the endless cycle of spam in the internet. Basicallly we have arrived at a point where there are only two forms of communication in the web: spam and trolling.
