For those of you who aren't familiar with Knoxville, WOKI is 98.7, the conservative news talk radio circle-jerk. It's programming consists of a local show hosted by some local preacher (and coins itself the 'place for thinkers'), followed by random conservative talk shows, then another local show which is yet another conservative talking head who is not only a birther, but has always had homophobic undertones in whatever he says.

I have even called in a few times to the local shows to give some sort of reasoned, rational response and I've frequently been censored, cut off, or just ignored.

On the other hand, Knoxville does have a few very good high quality radio shows including the local public radio station WUOT - and that station has fantastic local programming.

Suffice it to say, this guy is preaching to the choir and if it was on any other radio station he'd lose business.
