For those unaware, this guy, tons of right wing blogs, and the Hannity radio show tried to make this interview sound like the ultimate BLOW AGAINST LIBERAL MUSICIANS ever or something like that. Only the reporter himself actually retracted the story (and to his credit, he seems to have a sense of humor about it), everyone else pulled the story with some bullshit line about how "the cameraman objected to the licensing of the footage" or something.

So wait a sec. The right wing meme is that USING MY HARD EARNED MONEY FOR ANYTHING INVOLVING CHARITY IS NAZI COMMUNISM, but U2 trying to protect their royalties from the insane royalty taxes in the EU for their own work is awful? Bono has given millions to charity. I doubt anyone in the Breitbart/Fox empire would give a pocketful of lint to a dying child without bitching about "socialism."
