What was so awesome about 80's cartoons was the honest infusion of fantasy elements, and not in a wink wink sort of way where it's ironic. The cartoon looks crappy but at least it was somewhat imaginative. So many cartoons in the last 20 years are about boring kids who live in suburbs.

Xenocide - 2012-03-31 Ed, Edd and Eddy was alright, but there are way too many Doug-wannabe shows that are just about OH MAN IT SURE IS TOUGH BEING A MIDDLE CLASS WHITE 13 YEAR OLD. This is why I never understood what people saw in Hey Arnold.
I was really looking forward to The Amazing World of Gumball only to find out that it was basically another one of these, but with wacky talking cats.

Cena_mark - 2012-03-31 Just because there's no magic, pixies, and fairies in those cartoons doesn't make them dull. The characters and situations within Recess were completely off the wall. The world of Recess showed an intricate social hierarchy on the playground. That show had amazing writing.

Someone help me out here. I don't know what's wrong, but for me, all I see is pink and green static while the audio plays. Going to youtube solves nothing, and it seems a handful more clips, especially other old cartoons in the related videos, have the same effect.
Any idea how to fix this?
