Pretty much all modems up until the late 90s were capable of making those noises. In most, it was turned off by default, but of course most of us back had to use the old "AT=m0" code in the terminal to get it to stop making those terrible noises.

I meant those specific noises. The tones in the video sounded more like a fax than a modem. Unless it was taken from a 300 bps modem. I think my first was 1200.
