After watching this, I'm sure that Pat Robertson experimented in college.

What a travesty of motherhood.

Though it's nice to see that Robertson admits that there's an emotional bond... you know, probably something like love.

And then the solutions: pray, move, she's confused, you must get her counseling. I think Roberson asked more questions to himself in that minute than that mother asked her kid in a month.

I am pretty sure the periodic blurring made my eyes water instead of the other way around.

It's like God is really just doing a ventriloquist act, but everyone's taking it seriously because we're mad at the dummy.

Please tell me more.

Yes, uproot your daughter's entire life because she likes another girl. That should make her less rebellious.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-04-13

It almost sounds like he's validating homosexuality by asking "is this really lesbianism?". Which would indicate it's a real thing, that can be compared to simple experimentation. A real thing that is going to last, because it's real. Woops!

TeenerTot - 2012-04-13

But the real question is: Are you *sure* you're straight? You don't have any feelings for the same sex at all? (suspicious eyes)

pastorofmuppets - 2012-04-13

But at the same time, making it unattainable for mere mortals, because you can always accuse someone of not being truly gay.

Scynne - 2012-04-13

It's sad to thing that people actually believe this

Quad9Damage - 2012-04-13

"Teenagers aren't quite sure of their sexual identity..."

If you're straight, do you remember the first time you felt attracted to the opposite sex? Were you 'sure' you had feelings towards girls/boys?

This girl has reached a point her development where she has discovered she's attracted to other females. But according to Pat Robertson and others of his ilk, somehow this is different and she "isn't quite sure" about it. But if she was into boys it'd be a real thing!

Oh, and advising this woman to PACK UP and MOVE AWAY to pull her daughter away from the girlfriend as a last resort s just about the worst advice I've ever heard from Pat Robertson (new city, new school, new *jobs*), but keep in mind that this woman was scary enough to write in asking Pat for advice, so this situation will probably end very badly.

kingofthenothing - 2012-04-13

how it will be parsed:

Pack up and move away WITHOUT TELLING YOUR DAUGHTER WHERE YOU WENT.

"She pro'lly thinks she's a Lesbian 'cause she don't know no better. Nothin' a real good dickin' won't fix."

spikestoyiu - 2012-04-13

This is like half the most reasonable stuff I've ever heard him say about homosexuality and half the most awful advice ever given in regards to someone who believes their daughter is a homosexual.

That kind of confusion is normal. I found it helpful to make a chart of which sexes have dongs. Then you figure out your preference for dongs, and use the chart.

If you don't have a dong, you may need to make the chart about vaginas.

There's also a test you can buy at the pharmacy but it costs like 50 bucks.
