Great episode. I like how the filmmakers went the "Monster A Go Go" route and decided to TELL YOU how the movie was going rather than show you.

Fur is Murder - 2012-04-22

from Wikipedia:

Reportedly the original sound tracks were lost, although cast member William Thourlby has said that the film was shot without sound as a cost-saving measure, and that dubbing was to have taken place after production. Therefore, there is only a limited amount of dialog in the film, because Savage supposedly shot scenes without regard to the professional quality of the sound, or even transferring it properly to 35mm mag stock. Having insufficient money to pay for basic sound transfers, he finally hired a local radio news reader to narrate the entire movie in post-production.

So then, yes...exactly like Monster A Go Go pretty much.

It always helpful for a monster when it's victims just crawl inside it's mouth.

An animated carpet sample needs all the help it can get.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-04-22

That damn music still gets stuck in my head from time to time, as I suspect it will continue to do so until the day I die.

BHWW - 2012-04-23

The only maddening B-movie musical score comprable to that is the incredibly repetitive flamenco guitar and piano music from the really low-rent 1953 film "Mesa of Lost Women".

Innocent Bystander - 2012-04-23

At one point Tom Servo says something to the effect of "I think people getting eaten was a turn on for the director". So yes, this may be the world's first commercial vore film.

I have this on DVD. Goddamn fantastic.

"It's a good thing drugs came along!"

Do you have the 4 disc set with Bloodlust, Catalina Caper and Skydivers? Turns out it lists for 7.43 on Amazon (new -- used). Kinda makes me regret opening it.

StanleyPain - 2012-04-23

When the hell did Skydivers come out on DVD? I have the VHS tapes of all those episodes, but I don't remember seeing them come out on DVD.

Oktay - 2012-04-23

According to Amazon it came out in 1988. Or 2002, if you scroll down.

And in case anyone's wondering, I don't always go to Amazon to find out how my DVD investments are doing. I was looking for the exact quote for "I don't know about the terror, but it's creeping alright".

Argh. I'm an idiot. Use this instead if you don't want the ref/id garbage in the url:
