I'm as jaded of a gamer as they come and I think the SP content in COD games is awkward and weird, but the MP in MW games is addictive as fuck...and my favorite of the series was Black Ops. So. I'll be the lone five star here.

This is gonna be crap. Their future setting is WAY to early and optimistic. The plot is going to be bland and boring, despite being in the future and having all kinds of little gadgets.
Also, Big dog actually with a tank weapons system and not just flamethrowers all over it? No Cheetahs with tazer mouths as enemies or landmine sandfleas? Come on, there are all kinds of ways you can go with just the videoes from boston dynamics.
Treyarch want to do future, you gotta do it either super real, or super crazy, and they're straddling the line a bit too much.

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-05-03 Sorry, I really don't want to have a realistic experience getting shot and have shit exploding everywhere. I played through Call of Duty 4 when it came out and I enjoyed some cinematic parts of it. But it really bothered me and made me so nervous, in a really bad way. I just felt sick. It's like a big cock-stroking testosterone packed advertisement for the military. So yeah, not my kind of games at all. I think people who like this sort of thing should just go enlist and get their fix in Afghanistan.

Another year, another call of duty. I miss when call of duty was a game that game you a sense of seeing a historical moment in the moment (I'll never forget storming Stalingrad and being told that I'll be shot if I turn around and I don't even get a gun). Then again, I'm not a multiplayer guy, and I guess that is all anyone really cares about with these games anymore.
Annualizing games is sort of shitty, but then again, I still eat up Assassin's Creed (we'll see if 4 years of it makes it lose it's luster). I felt bored through Black Ops and didn't bother with MW3. Hell, I felt ripped off with MW2 beating it in 4 hours having no interest in the multiplayer, so my disinterest in the series is kinda old at this point.
I'm playing a bunch of B-tier games lately (Risen 2, Binary Domain) and having more fun with them than I ever remember having with CoD in years.

RocketBlender - 2012-05-02 If you couldn't run it on your PC, I strongly recomend checking out the Xbox release of The Witcher 2. CD Projekt is basically the exact opposite of EA/Activision: they make a fantastic game, make it better over time, and give away all those updates for free.
It was pretty awesome when the Xbox version dropped, everyone who already owned the PC version got a free 11GB patch to add in everything that was new content to Xbox users.

I even wrote a stupid review on that game here: http://gamesiguess.wordpress.com (scroll down) Ain't no one here gonna out game me on the computer RPG front, I got nothing better to do.
I'm focusing on the b-tier now due to the triple A's being largely well under my belt. That and I usually have three or four games going at a time.

sosage - 2012-05-02 The MP side of the console MW games is the only really great aspect (although I think Gmork's opinion is the other way around). I'd imagine these games are really shitty as PC FPS with a mouse and keyboard.
Anyways, if you're not a MP sort of person, yeah, I wouldn't recommend the game at all. It's short and just too weird with the military complex/porn aspect.
I'd love to check out The Witcher, but my gaming time has been cut in half for the last few years...and I already have a tall as hell "to play" pile.

Will they pay for a map? How about for 4? How about for a single map co-op mode that used to be an inured feature? How about 50 fucking dollars a year for a stat-keeping system?
On one hand, CoD fans are stupid and don't deserve their own money anyway. On the other, thanks largely to them, everyone is trying this shit.

it's interesting that a game writer finally stumbled upon the idea of cyberterrorism, even if it's in the scenario of "OMG THEY HACKED THE FUCKTANK" rather than "OMG THEY HACKED THE CALIFORNIA POWER GRID."
