Okay, :30 on did make me laugh pretty hard. I'm ashamed.

Kabbage - 2012-05-16

I thought I might be but I just flat-out was not prepared at all for the half-bored matter-of-fact request she leveled at me.

I feel like if I'm ever able to steel myself against :30, I have irretrievably lost something precious and distinctly male.

fedex - 2012-05-17

I can't...stop...laughing...oh..god...call 911...hrrkkk

Old_Zircon - 2012-05-17

I'm easily amused and I'm not shamed to admit it. 5 stars and favorited.

jangbones - 2012-05-17

dumb humor is the best humor

Corpus Delectable - 2012-05-17

We're all horrible people for laughing at this.

All this being horrible puts me in the mood for a great big Coke. If you know what I mean.

fatatty - 2012-05-17

Nothing like an ice cold Coke in a can.

Centennial Ostrich - 2012-05-17

I lived in Seoul for over two years. This sort of thing never, ever got old.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-05-17

I myself just try to ignore it. When I'm in class I make corrections politely.

I've seen this woman's videos while researching things I can show my class, and they are among the worst.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-05-17

My first week my co-teacher told me we were going out to eat dog and it was very important that I go eat dog with them. I freaked out and told him I had had dogs as pets and he was completely surprised by this. It turns out he meant DUCK.

We had a whole "who's on first?" thing going for us.

"I can't eat DOG."
"But you said you would go eat with us!"
"I didn't know you were eating dog!"
"But it's just dog!"
"I've had them as pets."
"You have??? Really???"

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-05-17

Also, one of the characters in one of the books is named Rahul. Dude to an unfortunate linguistic situation, Korean uses the same letter for "r" as it does for "l" depending on its placement in the word. For weeks, kids kept saying LA WHORE LA WHORE LA WHORE and it just echoed in my ears as I gently repeated the name correctly.

Sometimes I think the people that write those books do this shit on purpose.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-05-17

Oh wait, I'm confusing her for someone else. I've never seen her before. There are lots of awful language lessons on Youtube for both languages.

dek863 - 2012-05-17

Non-native language teachers week?

Hooker - 2012-05-17

She seems to be teaching Korean to people who speak English here?

craptacular - 2012-05-17

she?

Cena_mark - 2012-05-18

Rodents wanted to teach in Japan and fulfill his weeaboo dreams, but got sent to Korea instead.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-05-18

I think you have me confused with someone else, there.

Besides which, Korea is friendlier to Americans.

Cena_mark - 2012-05-19

Fine, you went there so you could see Rain concerts.

Anagramother - 2012-05-23

Rodents- are you still in Seoul? I'm out here too at a book company.

candyheadrobot - 2012-05-17

classic.

THA SUGAH RAIN - 2012-05-17

Sugar plum, I've got all the coke you can handle.

poorwill - 2012-05-17

Don't let this opportunity to link the 'Razor Tits!' tag pass you by, Hooker.

Hooker - 2012-05-17

I think I just might!
