Bronies are emblematic of something gone wrong in the late-Gen X-Millenial generation, a loss of masculinity, or an over-acceptance of the feminine side of their personalities, coaxed by internet support forums and lack of peer pressure to find a girlfriend. I think the problem, at its root, is the internet forum where bronies can support their "passion", and with that support, ward off all the weird looks and disapproval from the people they see in their real lives, because they know that a voice on the internet feels the same way. I think its a side product of a society where the expectation to grow up is happening later and later. Going home after college is almost expected nowadays, and parents are ever so reluctant to let go.
Granted there's nothing wrong with be an adult who enjoys cartoons, but I wonder how many of these bronies live on their own and have real jobs.

Okay, for starters, your kind of masculinity is an awful brand of misogynist cowardice. It's based on a weird anti-female McCarthyism that sees an evil menace in guys that aren't sufficiently afraid of catching gay. Real men don't fucking need to police people's masculinity. To answer your question, I don't have kids, but if I did I would probably be having them with a lady that wears diapers for sexual purposes. To answer your question, both yes and no. I don't have a problem with weird fandoms, fetishes, or even responsible drug use. If you've hired several babysitters, you've hired a person that's into stuff like that. If you know about it though, then they've likely exercised very poor judgement and I wouldn't hire someone that doesn't use good judgement.

There's "weird creepy" and there is "dangerous creepy".

It appears to me that the men in this video are obsessed with female children represented by anthropomorphic ponies. The way these ponies look, talk, behave, etc. is as much "sassy preteen human female" as it is "magical pony". That sets off alarm bells for me.

We aren't talking about gay people, anime fans, fetishists, stoners, or even furries here. This brony shit is not even in the same ballpark to me. We are talking about socially awkward adult men that seem to obsess over representations of female children, despite social consequences for doing so. That's creepy as fuck, and I really don't think you should lump it in with any other safe, responsible sexual (or other) behavior that may be outside what some parts of society considers "normal".

YES, I was thinking this exact thing. Their approach and relation to the black kid, the reaction of pure frustration and barely-suppressed rage in the man with the gigantic stuffed pony, the casual tearing-out-teeth comment, the way like... the guy who runs Neighslayer and his insanely angry roommate were apparently best buds before he went out the rainbow pony back door and his roommate raged out the front. There's these moments of true hate, true despair, and true anger that explode to the surface the instant - the INSTANT - the cartoon internal narrative is disrupted or shattered or cast into ambiguity.

I'm not trying to be dramatic but something about a lot of these people seriously disturbs me, and not in an ironic way. My brain kept sending out danger signals a lot of the time, across the video. I couldn't entirely say why.
