Right.

Not hipsters here, don't think that tag applies.

Shitheel cops? yes and no. Yes in that they are taking a bad attitude to the situation, but no in that they don't have a choice but to enforce the laws when jerks like this bunch test them.

Dirtbags, yes. These lemonade sellers are clearly out to make a point that does not need to be made. In order to sell something on public property, you need a license. They could have given away their lemonade on the capitol lawn and it would have been perfectly legal. They could have charged 10 cents on private property and it would have been perfectly legal. wtf is their deal?

Everybody here is ridiculous. 5 stars.

That guy - 2012-05-26

Agreed on the cops part, yes and no.
They are not shitheels for enforcing a reasonable law with no real room for discretion here; and not all of them in the video are shitheels. Some of them do as shitheels do.

As for "hipsters" or not, I'll let the jury decide, but as evidence I submit their stupid outfits, their particular type of whiny complaining, and their limp-dick cause.

baleen - 2012-05-26

I continue to be enthralled by what the average poe user considers to be a hipster... I've kind of given up. I guess it's just a person with glasses now.

Old_Zircon - 2012-05-26

Reel Big Fish is sure popular with Hipsters, so these must be hipsters.

chairsforcheap - 2012-05-26

hipsters are people who complain about hipsters.

Cena_mark - 2012-05-26

Just because hipster is hard to define doesn't mean I don't know one when I see one. These are some hipsters and I hope they never get out of prison.

Eroticus E - 2012-05-26

By definition, someone with a cause can't be a hipster. The only thing hipsters care about is hating people they think are hipsters.

That guy - 2012-05-26

HEY, I'm a below-average poe user.

That guy - 2012-05-26

Also, what's up with the "whoever smelt it, dealt it" logic?

chairsforcheap - 2012-05-26

if you want to see the dictionary definition, either go to americanapparel.com or visit williamsburg brooklyn

chairsforcheap - 2012-05-26

if you hear the phrase "sweet fixie brah" you nailed yourself a hipster

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-05-26

WHAT? YOU NEED A PERMIT TO SELL THINGS IN PUBLIC PLACES?

Cena_mark - 2012-05-26

What's the point of this protest? Did they just want to antagonize the police just so they could cry about getting arrested.
The police didn't use enough force.

blue vein steel - 2012-05-26

lol at their parents retirement going into lawyer bills for their kids.

WHO WANTS DESSERT - 2012-05-26

Hipster: the most meaningless word

Innocent Bystander - 2012-05-26

it's the new emo, although even emo meant more.

spikestoyiu - 2012-05-26

I was given e-shit for saying this same thing. DERP I GUESS I'M A BEING ANNOYED BY THE WORD HIPSTER HIPSTER.

urbanelf - 2012-05-26

I want to believe in their cause so badly.

HarrietTubmanPI - 2012-05-26

The blonde cop who grabs the camera twice should be kicked from the force. Cops shouldn't be afraid to be filmed.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-05-26

I hate everyone in this video.

THA SUGAH RAIN - 2012-05-26

The confused looking brunette who gets arrested is a solid Would. The braless one with a sleeve tattoo is a negative.
Everyone in this video who is in it for reasons other than being thirsty was pretty douchey. The cop who slaps the camera takes the prize, though.

BillLumbergh - 2012-05-26

worst. people. ever.

Screwtape - 2012-05-26

Bunch of kids wanted to get arrested and make a bunch of cops look like douche bags. Looks like they succeeded. I'm always for making cops look like douche bags. What the fuck is wrong with you people?

Old_Zircon - 2012-05-26

If there's one thing worse than cops, it's kids these days with their hair and their music and their cellular telephones.

jangbones - 2012-05-26

When did attention become something that must be attained at any cost?

How does this video help anything?

Who benefits besides the lemonade sellers themselves, by giving them a video they can put on the facebook pages to feel superior to their friends?

dairyqueenlatifah - 2012-05-26

"How does this video help anything?"

Boredom relief.

Bored - 2012-05-26

These are not hipsters, they are Free Staters, specifically Free Keeners. I recognize them.

electricdepression - 2012-05-26

yeah, you're right. definitely not hipsters. there's a dude at 0:42 with a COP BLOCK t-shirt. If anyone's not familiar with COP BLOCK they are a very special kind of crazy.

TeenerTot - 2012-05-26

Lemonade for .10 cents?

Are they college students?

Syd Midnight - 2012-05-28

According to the video, they're "Ron Paul lemonade alex jones jesse ventura max keiser gerald celente freedom david icke bill maher young turks". So fuck'em.

FABIO - 2012-05-26

You require a license to use the word "hipster".

The only requirement is having to walk down Bedford Ave. in Williamsburg. You are now fully qualified to apply that label.

chairsforcheap - 2012-05-26

exactly.

SixDigitDebt - 2012-05-26

Fact: The amount of resources the cops expended in wages by manhours on this arrest eclipses what it would have cost to buy all their stupid fucking lemonade and put them out of business.

Also, if they had called it Lemonade for Jesus they would have probably been left alone.

King of the Juice, amirite?

support - 2012-05-26

That's not an arrest, THAT IS KIDNAPPING!

heyitslozeau - 2012-05-27

I like the part where they say they're just like Gandhi and MLK

heyitslozeau - 2012-05-27

not hipsters, spoiled white people that dont need jobs. There's overlap.
