This was awful. And they only maimed the WTC. How lame!

BHWW - 2012-05-28

Well, that was pretty blatant.

BHWW - 2012-05-28

Seriously, I haven't seen such a blatant anime ripoff since college, when there was this fellow who was working on his totally original "American manga" opus, a comic that ripped off a whole load of animes and mangas at once - Bubblegum Crisis, Ghost in the Shell and Appleseed, Gall Force, Armitage the Third, and a whole bunch of others, basically anything sci-fi and action-ish and blended them together and he was seriously trying to shop it around to various small-time comic publishers.

Kid Fenris - 2012-05-29

Well, ripping off anime and manga sure worked for a disturbingly large number of comic creators in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Look up something called Neon Cyber if you don't believe me.

Also, let's be fair: manga and anime rip themselves off a lot. Cowboy Bebop was pretty much Lupin III in space.

Wow, this was terrible. I don't just mean the intro either, the whole thing was.

Needs "Copyright Infringement" tag.

Sudan no1 - 2012-05-28

I'm in constant payne watching this!

Cena_mark - 2012-05-28

Looks right up Caminante's alley.

garcet71283 - 2012-05-28

With the "evil Jet", the intro and the overall aesthetic...I am surprised they didn't go the extra mile and cast the lead as Steve Blum.

You can read about this show and the other cartoons Nickelodeon rejected here.

I think it's time we blow this scene, get everybody and the stuff together...

Okay, three, two, one, (EXPLOSIVE DIARRHEA)

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-05-28

What followed after the opening did little to justify it.

FABIO - 2012-05-28

The name lives up to the experience.

Kid Fenris - 2012-05-28

I remember liking this when I first saw it, probably because I was comparing it to Totally Spies.

dead_cat - 2012-05-29

I've never seen Cowboy Bebop, so I don't have anything to compare to. It still seems highly derivative.

And as bad as this all is, the voice-work is like five times worse.

you know one fan fiction nerd's dreams of a faye/ jet love affair have been heard and partially delivered.
