Dear Will Wright,

Please save EA from itself.

Stars for Evil,
Garcet

The way the The Sims 3 seems to exist first and foremost as a platform for DLC makes me really excited to see how much they fuck up the Sim City reboot.

RocketBlender - 2012-06-03

I'd really like to know how the new Sim City is. That's a game I've always enjoyed. Problem is, I'm never using Origin ever again, so I'll never get to play that game.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-06-03

Nice cupcake tits at the start, there.

I'd only heard her name due to her divorce from Russel Brand and had to Google her to see how much of this catastrophe could be laid at her feet. Now I'm kind of sorry I did. According to Wikipedia, this is her second Sims outing, the first being for some "Showtime" expansion where you could get her outfits and fruit-oriented items (I guess that's her thing). I can only guess that some programmer saw one of her recent albums was subtitled "The Complete Confection" and decided to base the whole game on those cake-competition shows on standard-tier cable crossed with someone's Barbie collection as viewed while on acid.

StanleyPain - 2012-06-03

She's a spectacularly failed Christian pop star who decided to get her tits out for money.

Old_Zircon - 2012-06-03

She makes Rebecca Black look like Maria Callas.

Кotki - 2012-06-03

Wait! Her tits? Where? I wanna see.
Also... Christian? Where? I wanna see.
But mostly her tits.

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-06-03

There are better tits out there, attached to much more likable people.

The Mothership - 2012-06-03

Now they need to do one based on the adventures of Colonel Sweeto.

Hooker - 2012-06-03

Yo, dawg. I heard you like commercial products, so I put commercial products in your commercial products so you can consume while you consume.

Billy the Poet - 2012-06-03

Katy Perry is, indeed, a lifeless simulation of a person.

RocketBlender - 2012-06-03

I've seen posters for this at GameStop and was wondering who the fuck would want that there. I don't know why I never thought to look for a trailer to put up here. Good job, pope.

Кotki - 2012-06-03

With the risk of looking shallow - where can I see her naked? I mean really, I've looked. I've looked on the Internet and I can't find.

Randroid - 2012-06-03

This question of yours seems to be a recurring theme.

Like the description says.

Wander - 2012-06-03

Haha wow you asked not once but TWICE.

Jesus.

cognitivedissonance - 2012-06-03

Dudes, you have NO IDEA what the market for this is. It is enormous. My sister is so dedicated to this game that she will literally pay anything, anything at all, for expansions and updates. And, she adores Katy Perry. This is exactly what the market most likely to pay for this shit wants, and if you don't like, start paying for shit.

NewHeavenSalesman - 2012-06-03

Yeah, even the negative comments on the video seem to be primarily from people who have no problem paying hundreds of dollars for other dumb upgrades, it's just that this one is slightly beyond their threshold level. But just slightly.

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-06-03

I tried watching an "interview" with her in the related video about this but just couldn't get through the painfully long running time of 1minute 36seconds. What a completely unlikeable, unlistenable, uninteresting skank.
The bad thing about our culture is that most people are just casual observers that consume anything put in front of them, no matter how banal. The music industry subsists on this notion and pushes things with as little value or substance as possible to be ingested by the masses.
Therefore, I think the candy theme is completely appropriate for this.

WHO WANTS DESSERT - 2012-06-03

I like when people say this about "our culture", as if the majority of people everywhere aren't completely terrible.

zerobackup - 2012-06-03

^ Narcissism. Even "our culture" has to be the most vile, because being the best at everything all the time is what makes America great!

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-06-03

Fair enough WWD, because I admit that its like that most places. But I've traveled enough to know the difference.

Hooker - 2012-06-03

Calling it narcissism is doing exactly what you're crying against. Most cultures seem to have "we are the worst" tendencies, and I think it has more to do with the tunnel vision of living in that culture more than anything else.

The same thing happens with the "goold old days" garbage. It's much easier to spot the flaws in 2012 than it is to spot the flaws in 1912 because the minutia of 1912 isn't apparent. The crappy, irrelivant details of German or Indian or Mongolian culture aren't apparent to English North Americans, even if you've "traveled enough."

zerobackup - 2012-06-06

It's definitely a 'grass is always greener' type situation. Also, looking at the 1950's with rose colored glasses is quite disingenuous isn't it baby boomers? How old were you in the 1950's, ten? I'm sure you had great insight into the social and political climate back then and it has nothing to do with fond childhood memories and nothing else....

spikestoyiu - 2012-06-04

I swear, guys, I know less about Katy Perry than you do!!

themilkshark - 2012-06-04

I like when she dresses up in rubber fetish attire and puts that image of femininity into the minds of impressionable young women. She truly is doing God's work.
