I click on a link titled "Where did all the good men go?" and it leads me to a preload image of a punch of people pointing at me.

I can presume that everyone else got the same result, so it's clear that all of the good men went to PoETV, and that all of the "women" on PoETV are really good men in disguise.

This is grade-A nice-guy-syndrome-TFL-future-murderer type stuff, but I think what I love about it is how the pictures and video have virtually nothing to do with what the guy is talking about.

All the guys I know like this came from horribly dysfunctional families.

Most often, they had fathers who were awful and/or absent. When they were around they spent their time physically and/or mentally abusing the mothers. They were most often shiftless and unemployed. They felt women were there to provide them with food, sex and the comforts of home. They felt children were there as a nuisance, if they noticed them at all.

The mothers were generally neglectful of their children. They either catered to the whims of their men, whether they were the fathers of their children or not, or they looked after their own emotional and physical needs. Their children were left starved for attention.

These types of families were most common among the impoverished, although there were some of better means. In those cases, the parents usually threw money at the kids to keep them placated which made them spoiled and entitled in addition to all the other accompanying problems.

I'm not trying to make excuses for them, only offer understanding. Growing up in these conditions warps people. If you think boys from these families are screwed up, you can imagine how the girls turn out. The fact is, for good or ill, we often grow up to be just like our parents. It takes monumental effort to fight that fate.

It's easy to mock people like this or view them with hatred and disgust. What they really need, however, is guidance.
