Yeah, all those guys talking about it surely made me want to watch it.

Hooker - 2012-06-27

No actual content in a trailer is a wonderful metaphor.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-06-27

Typing "Ayn Rand is" into Google Search and looking at the suggestions makes me happy.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-06-27

That was supposed to be a response to Rodents.

Blue - 2012-06-28

She's Rael? I though he was a french racecar driver guy.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-06-27

What welfare states is she even referring to?

I recently came across this and it perfectly sums up my views.

and it is now the number one thing that google suggests when you type in Ayn Rand. That just makes me happy!

Well, off to contribute to Heiffer International now.

Bort - 2012-06-27

Ayn Rand went on Medicare when she came down with a touch of the lung cancer. So much for her principles.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-06-27

Ah, but I think the Randians are figuring out their convoluted answer to that stuff.

When you point out to a libertard that they and those they laud are often the beneficiaries of government programs, subsidies, handouts, etc., and that their principled leaders not only seek out this stuff, they pretty much buy the laws and regulations they want, completely circumventing democracy, they've started saying, "Of course."

Meaning that the corrupt government presents them with "free" money, which they'd be fools to pass up. The corrupt government is also purchasable, which they'd be fools to not purchase.

How this squares with all the bullshit about "natural" regulations that would somehow help everyone is still forthcoming, but I'm sure it'll involve the invisible hand of the market wearing The One Ring.

TeenerTot - 2012-06-27

Fart noises.

themilkshark - 2012-06-27

All of the funding for this sequel was attained by showing a picture of Ayn Rand's ravishing sex appeal.

ashtar. - 2012-06-27

Similar to ICP, being really in to Ayn Rand is more of a mental disorder than a preference.
Also, couldn't you get one celebrity that wasn't a news idiot talking head? I mean, at least find a clip of Greenspan.

big pincers - 2012-06-27

yeah, pretty much this.

and Dennis Miller? Come on...

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-06-27

Why isn't Victoria Jackson playing Rand in a bio-pic somewhere?

Old_Zircon - 2012-06-28

Juggalos are infinitely more respectable than Objectivists.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-06-27

The only thing stupider than not having any movie footage in your movie trailer is putting Dennis Miller in your movie trailer.

sosage - 2012-06-27

Bordello of Blood, an otherwise fine movie about undead boobies, cursed by this very problem.

Siebenstein - 2012-06-27

Why would they deliberately edit this as a horror film about an Objectivism outbreak nobody can escape from?

Oscar Wildcat - 2012-06-27

They must be having a lot of trouble funding the film. Perhaps they could apply for a grant from the NEA to do the project?

James Woods - 2012-06-27

CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-06-27

How much you want to bet that Rand is the only female author who these guys have ever read?

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-06-27

I think it's more accurate to say that Rand is the only female author whose books they own.

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-06-27

good point.

love - 2012-06-27

damn, I was hoping it was going to be the film adaptation of this: http://www.angryflower.com/atlass.gif

Kabbage - 2012-06-27

How do neo-cons ever get past the fact that she looks and sounds like a textbook nazi sadist

ashtar. - 2012-06-27

she makes up for it with her strong Christian values?

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-06-27

and the way she oozes sexuality from every poor. I mean, pore.

Zarathustra00 - 2012-06-27

First thought when I saw the preload image: "did they really get Steve Buscemi to do a plug for this movie?"

sosage - 2012-06-27

It's like Buscemi and Kinski had a baby...and Kinski's egotistical, narcissistic, psychotic, unsympathetic characteristics were the dominant gene that shaped her character.

memedumpster - 2012-06-28

She is one hell of an argument for reptoids. I think Cardassians were modeled off of her.

TeenerTot - 2012-06-28

The Star Trek kind, or the Bruce Jenner kind?
