Not that anyone should care what I think, but I don't approve of collecting things that are expressly made to be collected. There really needs to some sort of activity, either utilitarian or creative, between manufacturing and collecting. As a kid, I used to collect monster model kits, but I built them first. Later, I collected AOL Free Subscription disks. Remember those? They were pretty cool. They came in different colors and definitely evoked the early internet era. I sort of wish I'd held onto them. But collecting things that are expressly premade for your premade collection seems ridiculous. Other people will have the same collection, with all the same things. It makes no sense.

Unless, of course, you're a man who lacks the courage to dress like a woman.
