Nothing makes me feel old like dubstep. It is just noise. I'm sorry, but dubstep is just noise, you guys.

fedex - 2012-07-05

the main reason for dubstep existing is because it's easy to edit cool videos to all the breaks

Adham Nu'man - 2012-07-05

Really? To me it sounds like a lot of the electronic music that came out in the late 90s, just with more WOOO WOO WOO WOO for extra measure.

memedumpster - 2012-07-05

I liked it until I realized it's 45 years too late for anyone to ever write more than one song of any newish genre.

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2012-07-05

In my experience theres real music that I really enjoy and am excited about that is apparently "dubstep" like "burial" and "pantha du prince" and then theres loads of stuff on the interwebs called "dubstep" which all sounds like the same song with a lot of wobble bass
(Also my feelings on what I will call "internet dubstep" are... if the kids are into this then thats ok, its not that bad really, just quite samey and shallow, better than, idunno, spice girls or something)

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2012-07-05

edit: VERY samey and shallow,, also the point is the kids will grow up good imo!

chairsforcheap - 2012-07-05

pantha du prince is no dubstep. Fuck you. I can't believe you even went there...

chairsforcheap - 2012-07-05

thats no skrillex

badideasinaction - 2012-07-05

Basically it's dubstep versus wubstep, pick your side I guess.

chairsforcheap - 2012-07-05

no sir... there's a beauty to abstract techno and few actually do it right. Aphex twin's earlier shit is like the ramones

memedumpster - 2012-07-05

Would you consider abstract techno to be a Universal or a Form?

zerobackup - 2012-07-05

Dubstep is hitting a very high popularity peak right now, but it is mainly birthed from hardcore industrial music/dark drum n bass. The 'wobble' bass is specifically made to sound good only on a large system (like at a rave) thus listening to this type of music through earbud headphones doesn't really capture any of the energy. You need about 16 subwoofers so when the bass hits it shakes your entire skeleton. It will get overexposed and die back down to an electronic subculture just like trance & drum n bass did about 10 years ago. I remember when I heard drum n bass in a car commercial and almost shit my pants...now they play dubstep in the Nissan ads.

MrBuddy - 2012-07-05

*laugh* So is anyone going to comment on the video?

Adham Nu'man - 2012-07-05

No.

BaconAficionado - 2012-07-05

I hate the red one.

Ursa_minor - 2012-07-05

I don't care how you feel about dubstep, this is great.

Shoebox Joe - 2012-07-05

It's cutesy wootsie and just plain adorable!

Hooker - 2012-07-06

SOME DUBSTEP SOUNDS GOOD AND SOME DOESN'T SOUNDS GOOD. I HAVE NO STRONG FEELINGS ABOUT IT.

chairsforcheap - 2012-07-06

the wub wub is the amen break of the 10's... It'll go away and only annoy you if you pay attention to it
