Since the rich will never believe that their greed and callousness and corruption and deregulation caused the financial crisis, what do they tell themselves actually did it? ACORN?
Seriously, do they really think that the Kenyan socialist actually caused the housing crisis and the credit crunch and the bailouts?
Clearly the blame lies with The People's financial irresponsibility. They should have known they could never pay back their mortgages.
No seriously. That's what they think.
What's funny/sad is how the upper-middle class is starting to get hit with declining home values and they're doing with their houses what corporations do with storefronts all the time: Abandoning them.
I think it's called "Strategic Foreclosure," and megacorps (as well as the wealthy) would use it all the time whenever a property wasn't doing as well as it had been hoped. The bankers and investors had been relying on the working and middle classes devotion to where they live to keep them paying for houses they can no longer afford while those for whom money was no object defaulted as part of a portfolio strategy.
Now that either more people have figured out that trick or are being forced to walk away from multi-million dollar homes, I think we're in for another round of home foreclosures in what were considered "nice neighborhoods."

They're doing fine. "We're doing fine". Is what they tell themselves. Turns out, as a profession, "being rich" is recession proof.

Was Obama wearing a lady wig through the first half of his speech?
Rodents of Unusual Size
I think he was referring to a senator but I have no idea which one. The practices of Congress and the way they address each other turns up little to clarify this on Youtube.
Maybe...maybe Obama just felt pretty that day.

Senator Sanders has an hour long bit on Thom Hartmann's radio show every friday. You can find it on Thom's website or livestream.

How can the American People be angry about these things if they don't know them to begin with? I'd be more convinced if he came back from one of those constituent meetings telling of pitchforks and torches rather than clueless voters.

Mr. Sanders goes to Washington

Future historians will be furious over 21st century Americans' refusal to kill a thousand people, wipe out a few families, to save billions. They'll marvel at how we allowed a handful of people to kill hundreds of thousands in wars and millions more with domestic policy. They'll either look at us as non-sentient cattle animals, if they're kind, or outright traitors to the planet earth, if they're honest.
John Holmes Motherfucker
I haven't seen the clip yet, but memedumpster wants to kill some fuckers, so it must be really good.

I don't even live in Vermont and this made me so happy I had to write a quick letter to Bernie thanking him for being so honest and brutal about the situation right now.

How long before somebody finally walks up there and makes the long-delayed "The American People are stupid!" speech?
