This isn't a bad show, which I was introduced to by both POETV and the conspira-nuts who've been going apeshit over the sinister "symbolism" within i.e. "In Disney's latest show, Gravity Falls, they show everyone which masters they truly serve. They really don't give a shit who knows it, either" and "As soon as I saw the symbolism I truned off the TV and told the kids not to watch this Illuminati brainwashing!"

Also, I'm not so surprised that it's only been 5 episodes or so and the internet has proven once again it's one big support system already in place to facilitate the rise of creepy fandoms for any sort of entertainment in any medium - the legions of Tumblrite creeps and TvTropers and such have discovered the show, and, welp:

"Pinecest". Sheeeeeee-it.

I'm not surprised or anything, sure, fanfiction, fanart, stupid memes, whatever but why do people gotta be creepy about it.

I'm not following that link.

It's so absurd that I can't even be offended.

It wasn't until I started seeing Troper links here that I was even aware of the broad array of users at TVTropes. The front end of the site is still quite a useful and amusing resource, but the forums (I'm supposing that's where the stuff like the above comes from? I've never sought them out) are like the seedy back room of a comic book store that's friendly and fairly normal-looking, apart from the "adult" section.

Seriously, until POE, I just thought it was a place for nerds to add tags/classifications for stuff in their favorite shows, books, movies, etc.

Don't miss the Fetish Fuel Troper Tales.

B. Weed - 2012-07-29
They moved the Fetish Fuel stuff to a whole another site. Troper Tales were moved too, or outright deleted. I forget which, and I don't care.

TvTropes itself does not dissapoint - under the listing of "Tropes" for the character voiced by Schaal:
=======
Magic Skirt: For some reason her skirt stays in play despite the crazy stunts she does.
Zettai Ryouiki: Grade D.
=======
That last one, mind you, is for a "Trope" (a term which in the hands of the tropers has been rendered meaningless, beaten to death and then weighted down with rocks before being tossed in a lake) defined as thus: "Absolute Territory" (zettai ryouiki in Japanese) describes the area of uncovered thigh between the skirt and the stockings that's apparently a total magnet for Male Gaze."

TvTropes: Keep on creepin'!

On a non-creepy note it seems Lazy Susan is voiced by Jennifer Coolidge, which I did not know until I looked it up.

God, Lazy Susan's like my mom. She'll call me up just to tell me to say one of the cat's names while she puts the phone up to them. I'm stuck saying "Ikey, Iiiiiiikeeey" until she says "He turned and looked at the phone!"
Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-07-30
I am laughing hysterically to this. My aunt will send me cards and sign them with her name and then her cats names. With paws drawn in pen ink.

dead_cat - 2012-07-30
I just want to say that Grunkle Stan is a worthy successor to Captain K'nuckles.
Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-07-30
Yes. And it should be mentioned that he was trying to work up the nerve to ask Lazy Susan out all episode, right up until this scene.

Also, oh my god the Multibear. This show is getting gloriously surreal.
