It's poison, Bruce.

"I call myself by my screenname, SonicAndKnucklesForever1939."

Riskbreaker - 2012-08-07

1939? Oldest Sonic fan in the world.

That number refers to the number of sexually explicit Rouge the Bat stories he's written.

Where do you think he got his superhero name from?

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-08-07

Rogue? Give me a break, Batman clearly has a preference for women the size of an average human mother.

BHWW - 2012-08-07

It turns out he calls himself Rum Tum Tugger.

Dread Pirate Roberts - 2012-08-07

I remember liking this series quite a bit. As I remember it, it was in the same 'batverse' as the cartoon series from the mid-late nineties.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-08-07

That it was.

It was one of the few shows set in the future that had "future-slang" that didn't sound like they came from a 1930's sci-fi pulp.

I can only remember a couple of clunker episodes with Batman Beyond. The worst was one where Terry (Batman) had to take care of this electronic egg-thing as one of those "you are a parent" class projects, so of course, he took it with him when he fought some fat lady criminal and her family.

In my mind, I don't refer to myself in the third person.

MrBuddy - 2012-08-07

He calls himself Rick Springfield?

This show is proof brand loyalty trumps recognition of quality. "Let's make a cartoon about Batman in high school, but set in the FUTURE!" would not have made it across the Hanna-Barbera desk.

Sanest Man Alive - 2012-08-07

The Funky Phantom did.

fatatty - 2012-08-08

Ummm...they totally would have made Future Batman in High School. They made Time Traveling Fonz and the Happy Days Gang.

This show is proof that Bruce Timm can take a ridiculous idea with almost no chance of not sucking and make one of the best cartoons of its time.

The last two Batman movies before Nolan took over are proof enough that Batman's brand loyalty has its limits.
