Iria (as far as animes go) wasn't that bad. It's how I learned that Japanese people said "Bobu!" for Bob. I had no idea they made a live action version though. Strange.

They used to play this movie on the Sci-Fi channel for a couple months, way back. As a kid, I used to think that it and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home were the same flick.

In much the same way, I always thought that the original Battlestar Galactica and that movie Innerspace were the same show/movie, because somebody had been channel surfing between the two when I'd seen it.

This is a Japanese PSA about the importance of good communication in a relationship.

This was a live action film before it was an animated film and manga with spin-offs. The movie was sort of a cult thing like Tetsuo in the early days of VHS imported movies getting an audience here in the states. It's not a very good movie, IMHO. Basically this creature eats people and then creates weird servant beings from eggs based on the people he eats and some chick in stereotypical anime battle armor from the future or whatever has to fight him/it. It was more famous for it's awful original English dub than much else. Some of the visuals are memorable but I thought it was kind of boring personally.

I wish I had known about this movie when a friend came over to my place while having a bad acid trip. I would have put this on tv for him to watch. As it is I had to make do with Jacob's Ladder.
