Nice find. I wonder where I can buy that gas?

Loses a point for bad editing. Gains it back for flagrant abuse of funding.

I just noticed all the soda on the shelves in back. I hope they have it there for Mentos purposes.

Mr. Science doesn't advocate sucking.

Why did I always get the joyless, humorless teachers for science?

Sorry to see that. Our chemistry teacher used to LIVE to blow stuff up. He simulated a gas explosion with a tiny model house.

They should replace the entire atmosphere with this so we can all talk badass.

I once got lucky enough to see Jay Leno do this on his show.

We had a leftover cylinder of this stuff in a lab where I was a post-doc. I demoed it for grad students for a laugh.

Also fun SF6 fact: it has a global warming potential of 23,900 times that of CO2. Most of it is from leaks in high-voltage switch gear and equipment. I remember a US Department of Energy report where they were able to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by like 90% over a few years just by eliminating leaks of this "harmless" gas.

It should replace helium and everyone just gets balloons that drop like a stone on their birthday.
