"Is is his punishment too severe, or is it just? Let us know in the comments below."

NO. DON'T SAY THAT. THIS IS YOUTUBE, REMEMBER!?

THA SUGAH RAIN - 2012-10-06

klingerbgoode - 2012-10-06

Gosh they're cheery

Quad9Damage - 2012-10-06

I would argue that everyone should be held responsible for their own actions and decisions, regardless of their situation.

Then again, this poor little bastard will never have a chance to do jack shit with his life and his twelve years as a free human being have been a living hell. This has all the makings of a supervillain right here.

jangbones - 2012-10-06

there are a lot of differences in the brains of children and adults

Syd Midnight - 2012-11-09

Officer I'd like to report my 5 year old niece for theft and felonious assault. She bit me and won't give my M&Ms back.

Gallez - 2012-10-06

JUMP CUTS!

themilkshark - 2012-10-06

Well reported, gosh I really like Youtube. The fact is this is a child and I feel he should be treated as such. Lifetime imprisonment won't do anyone any good, I feel it's more practical to just push him down some stairs if you really aren't willing to attempt rehabilitation. Stop the cycle of abuse? That requires effort!

EvilHomer - 2012-10-06

I don't see what the problem is here. They're just trying to protect this kid from Dexter.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-10-06

This whole thing could have been prevented if they'd just dialed M for Monkey.

Redford - 2012-10-06

Dear lord. People like to pretend life sentences are moral, but these days, the concept of being imprisoned for life is a worse punishment. This child will spend his formative years behind bars and utterly doomed to be either killed there, or doomed to be a non-functional sociopath for the rest of his days for growing up in that sort of situation.

But hey, the legal system is punishing people for doing a bad thing! THEY'RE HELPING!!!!!!

Old_Zircon - 2012-10-06

This is pretty much how Charles Manson happened.

CIWB - 2012-10-06

On the other hand, the child is already a sociopath. Is it fair? Would he be the same person if he was raised in a healthy environment?

No.

But there's no way to change that now. Too bad.

Anaxagoras - 2012-10-06

We've apparently got a child psychologist all up in this bitch.

Where'd you get your PhD, CIWB?

Gojira1000 - 2012-10-06

Same cereal box you did?

fedex - 2012-10-06

::ahem:: I got *MINE* from a box of Cracker Jacks, you pathetic imposters

Binro the Heretic - 2012-10-06

While it's highly probable, it's not a given that the kid is a true sociopath. It's still debated whether a sociopath is made or born.

It sounds like he was neglected and abused, which can lead to some sociopath-like behavior, but he might be able to get those impulses under control or even eliminate them with therapy.

My sister is a textbook sociopath. She was brought up in a good home and never wanted for attention, affection or material comforts and yet she's become a manipulative, entitled impulsive monster. In her mind, the world exists to serve her. She has zero empathy for others. She has no sense of shame or embarrassment. If she is denied something she wants, she goes into a vindictive rage. Worse still, she sees nothing wrong with any of her behavior. She is completely non-functional in society.

I've known a lot of people who came from horrible backgrounds who turned out far better than my sister. I've also known some who turned out worse, but in a completely different way.

(I ordered my degree from the back of a "Plop" comic book)

Binro the Heretic - 2012-10-06

The kid's probably always going to be something of a sociopath, but I think he's young enough that he could be made functional and non-violent.

The problem is, we don't have a system in place for taking care of someone like him. It's either foster care or juvenile prison until he's old enough to be sent to adult prison for his crimes. The majority of us have no problem flushing billions of dollars down the toilet that is the American penal system, but any money spent on helping a child like this is "wasted" in most people's eyes.

The whole wide world is horrible.

Doomstein - 2012-10-06

Indeed it is. Foster care is out, because the kid more than likely will lose it and kill again.

Puttting the kid in juvy will allow him to get some treatment, but his interactions with the other kids in juvy will likely erase any progress made.

As sad as it sounds, the viewpoint of the Florida judicial system is that it's far easier to lock the kid in a box and "protect society from him" than to try and fix what's broken.

White Trash Party - 2012-10-06

So many levels of fucked up here not to mention the the whole fact the 2 year old might be alive if the mother didn't leave him unconscious and bleeding for four hours. Prison is going to make that kid a monster.

EvilHomer - 2012-10-06

Prison is going to make a fratricidal 12 year old maniac a monster.

Anaxagoras - 2012-10-06

No. He's asserting that prison will make a fratricidal 12 year old child a monster.

Chimp.

EvilHomer - 2012-10-06

Well, I guess it's a good thing he's never getting out then.

lordyam - 2012-10-06

god damnit take a fucking breath, five stars for evil -3 for shitty editing

Hooker - 2012-10-06

Yes. The annoying, affected voices and reporting style of constantly demanding I immediately form an opinion on this was amazing. What a horrible show these two have made for themselves.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2012-10-06

His life is a whole lot better now, and he deserves it for saving his little brother from a horrible life.

I love a happy ending.

fedex - 2012-10-06

remind me never to go bowling with you

Doomstein - 2012-10-06

He's just takin' lemons and makin' lemonade, man.

memedumpster - 2012-10-06

Life impri$onment.

Blue - 2012-10-06

There's a reason we treat juveniles differently, and protecting them in this situation is exactly what those rules are for.

How in the fuck is it that we can "pretend" something is true in court when it fucking isn't? And no, murdering someone is not such a mature, responsible act that any 12 year old that does it is clearly wise beyond their years.

Also, when is this kid going to get justice for all the shit that happened to him? The state of Florida is just as fucking negligent as this kid's mother in this situation. They repeatedly failed to protect this kid.

Blue - 2012-10-06

I'd like to point out that Florida is a shithole that doesn't just bump juveniles to adult status for murder trials.

Hey, Florida, when is a 12 year old child mature enough to consent to sex? Why, when they're forced into prostitution, of course! Fuck you. Just... fuuuuuuuuuuuuck you.

Anybody that prosecutes a child as a prostitute deserves jail time and deserves to be on the sex offender registry. If you can't figure out 12 year olds can't consent to sex than you are a fucking danger to children. It doesn't matter if you think it's your job, if you try to twist the law to hurt children, you are a fucking monster and society needs to be protected from you.

Anaxagoras - 2012-10-06

Wow. This video brought out the serious in everybody.

Fitting enough, I suppose.

Nikon - 2012-10-06

I am so glad I left Florida.
