I like that "mean to ordinary people" was a deal-breaker for Carlin. That's a good measure of character.

American Standard - 2012-10-09 Recalls the old "someone who is nice to you, but not nice to the waiter, is not actually a nice person" nugget of wisdom.

TeenerTot - 2012-10-09 And raping little boys isn't considered rude.

TeenerTot - 2012-10-09 Harriet: point taken. I sometimes need to be reminded to be impartial about these things. But within the context of the rant where the assertion is made, I think my comment can stand.

A super rich alleged pedophile wants to have a sleepover with your child. Why would you say yes?
Either you're looking for money or you're a pedophile. Either way, I'm sure a lot of parents spent a lot of time watching really disappointing hidden camera footage.

I will certainly say that article speaks only for itself.

This is from Carlin's book "When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops?" which is kind of a dull read on it's own, but the audio book version--read by the man himself, of course--is completely worth listening to. I've listened and relistened about half a dozen times over the years.
