I like the part where they add nasty meat to the barley thing.

duck&cover - 2012-10-21

I'm happy to learn it isn't only made of congealed blood.

American Standard - 2012-10-21

I'd try it.

Jeriko-1 - 2012-10-21

I've tried it and I really enjoy it! They have an international market near here that sells it.

My ex accidentally bought kaszanka at the polish meat market once. She mixed up the names. We ate it before we realized her mistake. It was pretty good except for the buckwheat.

On a side note, if you ever find yourself in an Eastern European meat shop make sure to get some kabanosy. It may be the best thing ever created.

It's fucking BLOOD for god sakes aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh

Mother Lumper - 2012-10-21

If you like the taste and consistency of fried liver, you would like this. It's a bit richer and pairs well with clarified onions. I haven't seen any for sale in the United States for years and I miss it.

The thought of being in the room that it's made in is horrifying though, the ever present smell of pork fat soup lingering in the background and dried pig blood particulates blooming into your lungs.

Who knew that the preparation of British food would involve so much boiling in water?

Adham Nu'man - 2012-10-21

If you are not a vegetarian, you must come to grips with the fact that most of the stuff you eat comes from animals that were murdered and ripped to shreds and bled (with horrible stink and shit in the process). Then, with some degree of cooking, you eat that stuff. If you are able to truly process that in your mind, eating this is perfectly fine.

That sort of thinking has done about as much for me as "he's probably more afraid of you than you are of him" has done for my arachnophobia. The logical part of my brain and the part that controls how grossed out I feel have never really gotten along, you know?

SolRo - 2012-10-22

but blood pudding doesnt bite you with venomous fangs if you scare it.

...causing a festering wound that fills your soul with agony until it eventually rots away the affected limb, killing you.

Adham Nu'man - 2012-10-22

Take a picture of a spider and wear it under your hat for a week. At the end of the week, burn the photograph and paint your genitalia red.

Now this is the tricky part, you need to obtain the blood of a spider, pour it onto some black pudding and eat it. Trust me, YOU WILL BE CURED!

The Mothership - 2012-10-22

Lived in Scotland for 8 years. Black pudding is fucking delicious when made correctly, perfect mountain biking fuel and with a can of Irn Bru a good hangover cure as well.

twinkieafternoon - 2012-10-22

The hot water was the only appetizing thing in that mess, and that's just used to shrink the packaging.

Ohhdarling - 2012-10-22

Having just returned home from a trip to the UK where I ate a little black pudding, I was afraid to watch this. Surprisingly, it actually made me feel much better about what I had eaten.
Gross-factor aside, I didn't like it very much. Haggis was much better.

cognitivedissonance - 2012-10-22

I'm using videos like this to scare myself into vegetarianism. It seems to be working.

crojo - 2012-10-22

Pig blood smoke. Don't breathe this!

Binro the Heretic - 2012-10-22

I noticed they didn't show how the blood was collected and dried.

I'm sure it's horrifying.
