Why isn't every single Romney attack ad these?

theSnake - 2012-11-04

Because, nearly half of our countrymen fully support this agenda, fellow American.

StanleyPain - 2012-11-04

100 days? Weren't you people listening? "ON DAY ONE" he's basically repealing EVERYTHING.

dek863 - 2012-11-04

Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves here...a Republican majority in the Senate is less likely than a Romney presidency.

Xenocide - 2012-11-04

Five stars for the glorious return of Robert Bork.

Nikon - 2012-11-04

God damn it.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-11-04

Don't forget making homosexuality illegal in Utah. State's rights, yo!

Hooker - 2012-11-04

This is the Ron Paul / China classroom ad exactly. I don't know if it's one star for bullshit or five stars for evil.

jangbones - 2012-11-04

its evil because its such bullshit

FABIO - 2012-11-04

How is this bullshit?

The greatest trick the right ever pulled was constantly whining bias to the point where peoples' sense of objective rationalizing made them start really reaching with false equivalence. This lets them get away with the most outlandish shit because at worst all it will get is a cynical "both sides are the same" reaction.

If you really think this is up there with ads saying Obama will outlaw religion while at the same time instituting Shia law, I don't know what to say.

Old_Zircon - 2012-11-04

Romney was my governor for a long time and I don't recall him actually doing much at all. I'd say this isn't exactly bullshit but (apart from the supreme court appointment) it is an unlikely worst-case scenario, since he probably wouldn't get enough support from congress to actually do the majority of these things. At least not that quickly.

Old_Zircon - 2012-11-04

I totally agree with what Fabio's saying in general, though. Although I'd add that another major problem is people on both sides thinking presidents have a lot more ability to directly control the course of government than they actually do, which means they get more credit than they deserve, more blame than they deserve and during elections people tend to worry even more than the already significant amount of worrying that's actually justified.

Long sentence.

Hooker - 2012-11-04

FABIO, I'm not holding the left to the standard of the right. I'm holding the left to the standard of decency and honesty. You should too. Watch the Ron Paul ad and then this one and tell me it's not the same thing.

Old_Zircon - 2012-11-05

Decency and honesty in a post 24-hour-news-cycle political campaign?

Hooker - 2012-11-05

I'm not going to lower my modest standards because both parties refuse to so much at try meeting them.

Racketeer - 2012-11-04

Wait, that was a real ad the Obama campaign produced? Wow. I know stuff on the web is allowed to be more unhinged, but wow.

My favorite part of this is blaming Democrat voters for the Romney presidency. If Obama blows ass and doesn't deserve to be president, it's our fault.

Oscar Wildcat - 2012-11-04

It's Democrat women who are at fault, according to the ad. Be ashamed, you bitches!
