This song is nowhere near as good and catchy as Friday and Patrice Wilson is now too self aware to strike gold again.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-11-10

Actually, I think this might make a good companion piece to Adam Sandler's Turkey song.

EvilHomer - 2012-11-10

Yeah, there's very, very few viral entertainers who can survive the transition to self awareness. Patrice Wilson is not one of them.

He's going to keep doing this, isn't he? He's not going to bow out gracefully, like a decent human being; he's going to spend the rest of his life trying to chase that rainbow.

Old_Zircon - 2012-11-10

There's Krispy Kreme and... who else? Does Dan Lacey count?

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-11-10

Thirty seconds worth of vocal noises before we get to something that could be mistaken for an actual lyric.

Just like a real pop song, I suppose. Golf clap.

Nikon - 2012-11-10

I'm a little disappointed. This isn't as good as Friday.

Adham Nu'man - 2012-11-10

Counterpoint: the magical negro friend is here more hilariously out of place than ever.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2012-11-10

Agreed. I lost my shit at 1:45. Then it progressively went from hilarious to "Oh god why can't I look away".

The Mothership - 2012-11-10

indeed, 'magical negro friend' is what puts this out of the park.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2012-11-10

In think he's her imaginary friend.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2012-11-10

Friday was awesome, the guiltiest guilty pleasure EVER!

Millard - 2012-11-10

"April is Easter...and the Fourth of July."

Yeah, man. Yeah.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-11-10

Easter can be in MARCH, TOO! Do they not teach the lunar calendar in Church anymore?! This just TOTALLY ruined the song for me! Forever!

NancyDrewFan123 - 2012-11-10

Too try hard. A let down. We'll just have to wait for the next clueless person.

roughnready66 - 2012-11-10

Terrific use of vignetting

The Mothership - 2012-11-10

The turkey suit.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-11-10

I'd like to think that was Agent 43 from the Mardi Gras level of Hitman.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2012-11-10

WTF? That's a chicken! Couldn't they get a turkey?

This is just sad. But I know what will cheer me up.

(Googles Rebecca Black)

Quad9Damage - 2012-11-10

Ark Music Factory needs to fucking die and get buried under several layers of concrete. It's bad enough that yet another child has been made a target for YouTube trolls, but Ark insists on continuing to destroy music by pumping out shit like this for the "look what I downloaded off iTunes" crowd.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2012-11-10

They're not called Ark Music Factory anymore, now they're Pato Music World.

http://pmwlive.com/sample-page/

Check out their list of "accomplishments" and how they brag about Rebecca Black's "success" and how Friday went viral and got covered on Glee, as if they're completely oblivious and think Friday gained recognition because people liked it and weren't, you know, laughing in awe of how terrible it was.

Also, Patrice Wilson, the out of place rapper in all these videos, actually wrote all these terrible songs, including Friday. Huh.

Cena_mark - 2012-11-10

I assume he's still making money by producing songs and videos for 13 year olds.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2012-11-10

>>as if they're completely oblivious and think Friday gained recognition because people liked it and weren't, you know, laughing in awe of how terrible it was.

What?

Oh, yeah, uh, right... terrible.

No, the people on the web were laughing at it because it was terrible, The millions of people who bought it loved it., and kept to themselves about it. Like I said, guiltiest guilty pleasure ever.

But I think we can all agree about this one.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2012-11-11

It made millions of dollars, haha!

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-11-11

>>It made millions of dollars, ha-ha!

By your standards, "Toddlers in Tiaras" and "Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo" are things to be proud of. Ha-ha.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2012-11-11

I think "Honey Boo Boo" sucks, but you can certainly get away with calling it a success, without snarky quotes.

And I love Friday!

Timothy A. Bear - 2012-11-10

Yes, but not algebra.

EvilHomer - 2012-11-10

Mr Lacey, if I may be so bold, I have to ask: do you have some sort of poeTV Bat Signal hooked up in your house?

I'm wondering this because I haven't seen you comment here for, like, weeks. Maybe longer. And yet the moment someone mentions your name- in this case, Old Zircon- WOOSH! In you swoop, right on cue, ready to deliver without a moment's hesitation. This is not an isolated incident; I can't produce any concrete data, but it does seem as though chanting your name has a high likelihood of summoning you. Boomer the Dog does the same thing, too. Perhaps he is your Robin?

Don't worry, your secret will be safe with us, and we will only use the signal in the greatest of emergencies.

Uh..Thanksgiving is not on the 28th this year. It's on the 22nd.

themilkshark - 2012-11-10

Minus one star for being a B-side to the worst song ever. I find this weird breathy child to be off putting. At least Rebecca Black is pleasant.

Adham Nu'man - 2012-11-10

She'll grow on you as soon as she gets a few death threats and gets interviewed on TV and then you realize she's just some sweet dumb kid.

That's IF the networks consider running the same story all over again.

kingarthur - 2012-11-11

"See, but no one writes songs about Thanksgiving! I'm a have it come out before Christmas and knock Frosty out the box!"

is the new

"I'm gonna have 'em stick their heads out the crotch and have 'em rapping UPSIDE DOWN! Gonna knock Kriss Kross out the box!"

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2012-11-11

We we we so embarassed...

Quad9Damage - 2012-11-11

- Patrice Wilson suddenly creeping up from the bottom of the frame to insert himself into the video.

- Patrice in an Uncle Sam hat and grilling in a creepy chicken suit to cater to the mostly white crowd of children.

- Patrice gorging on turkey with a look on his face like he's straight out of a goddamn 1920's minstrel show.

- 13-year-old girl who not only appears to be emancipated from her parents, but owns her own fucking beautiful house.

- Said girl also interrupts the dinner blessing to burst into a random rap... and then uses a drumstick as an improvised microphone.

I'm looking at this with new eyes now. This beats the shit out of the "Friday" video.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2012-11-11

THAT'S Patrice Wilson? I've always referred to him as "DJPrefersTo-Remain-Anonymous".

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2012-11-11

I feel like someone made an artistic decision not to have a food fight here. I don't think I can agree.

pineapplejuicer - 2012-11-11

...was that black man eating ribs in a turkey costume?

urworstnightmare - 2012-11-12
