That was horrific.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2012-11-16

Well that was fast.

The Mothership - 2012-11-16

difficult to watch. 5 stars.

Hooker - 2012-11-16

I'll bet having a camera crew follow him around doesn't do him any favours either.

Xenocide - 2012-11-16

WHY DOES HE KEEP SMILING GODDAMMIT.

-2 stars for a hastily added /V/ in the video being the only thing justifying the title.

Xenocide - 2012-11-16

Oops, it seems like I clicked five stars by mistake.

You win this round, Scrotum.

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2012-11-16

This was the 1st footage from USA Ive seen in years not jammed with obese people

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-11-16

The fat people are either unable to commit crime, or they run it from behind the scenes while smoking huge cigars and wearing gaudy rings on their sausage-like fingers.

Spoonybard - 2012-11-16

Definitely watch part two.

Rudy - 2012-11-16

Sorry buddy but you're going to have to stay in solitary until you're violent enough to be released into the general population!

HAHAHA our prison system is a joke!

EvilHomer - 2012-11-16

You'd think being couped up in a featureless box for 23 hours a day would be the ideal environment for finishing that GED, but no.

Spoonybard - 2012-11-16

Details of his sentencing: http://wcfcourier.com/news/metro/teen-sentenced-for-attacking-girl -in-restroom/article_562f18e9-e965-5d38-93b8-de4400d497ae.html

Old People - 2012-11-16

What a piece of shit. Everything about this video is evil.

Eroticus E - 2012-11-16

They didn't mention the "sex offender" bit in the video. I bet that went over well.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2012-11-16

Aye, they didn't mention that. This was all made prior to his sentencing and they made it sound like he had a bad day and years of pent up nerd rage burst through the damn after he lost his job.

Spoonybard - 2012-11-16

What part of incompetently trying to force a girl into having sex is incompatible with years of pent up rage, isolation and powerlessness?

Blue - 2012-11-16

Every time someone jokes about someone getting raped in prison I always point out that it tends to be nonviolent offenders and innocent people that get raped and it's usually the person we're joking about that rapes them. Guard do a lot of the rape too, particularly male guards working in female prisons. It's fucked up that we allow this.

Our for-profit prison system is very good at turning nonviolent drug offenders into violent rapists. They fucking like that, it's repeat business for them.

It is easier to end up in prison in America than nearly any other place. We've so vilified "criminals" that we hold the same fucking contempt for innocent people that are wrongfully convicted. A SWAT team put a package full of drugs on a random homeowner's doorstep, waited for them to take it in then kicked their door down, shot their dogs, and then decided to let them go. The homeowner turned out to be the mayor of the town. You know what question the media asked?

"Why didn't you know it was the mayor's house?" Not "What would you have done if it hadn't been the mayor" or "Did you just admit to trying to frame a random homeowner for drug smuggling?"

I just can't even wrap my fucking head around this.

memedumpster - 2012-11-16

100% of our politicians are prison-worthy There's your answer as to why laws are just for the rest of us.

Chancho - 2012-11-16

He attempted to rape a girl at knifepoint in a bathroom.

themilkshark - 2012-11-16

Gummy Bear told the police he wanted to rape the girl in front of the mirror so he could watch the faces she made.

EvilHomer - 2012-11-16

He attempted to rape a girl in a mall... a FOR-PROFIT mall! Full of stores run by greedy corporations. Wake up people!

Seriously though, Blue, nobody's going to care about prison reform as long as the Dems are in power. The bad guys lost, remember? We're the good guys still, and you'd have to be a Tea Party pinko to question the wisdom of our state-run punishment industry.

Blue - 2012-11-16

Yeah, and a serial rapist that got convicted of repeatedly raping a woman over a period of five years had to leave her permanently rendered incontinent before anyone did anything. He spent 60 days in jail, after which he got to return to the community without having to register as a sex offender. Oh, and he lost his cool prison job that apparently came with really good rape benefits.

Serial rapists that don't hatefuck their victims into the hospital are basically free to rape and return to their homes at night without fear of prosecution or even social sanction. People that don't think that's a terrible thing deserve to be fed their own genitals. That doesn't mean I have the right to do that to them.

It doesn't matter what he did. If you let him get violently raped, you belong in there with him.

EvilHomer - 2012-11-16

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize I was "letting him be raped". Seeing as I live in a different part of the country, have never met the guy, have no connections with the justice system, have no way of personally intervening even if I knew the rape was going down, and was totally unaware of this poor rapist's plight until I happened to see it on a ten minute TV spot via poeTV, a year or more after all this drama actually went.

The blood is on my hands. Can you ever forgive me?

Blue - 2012-11-16

I wasn't referring to you, but yes, you're part of the state, aren't you? This is a democracy and you are a part of that. There's a lot of fucking separation between you and the actions of the government, but you aren't fucking innocent of the things the government does on your behalf.

There's plenty of men and women being raped in the prisons in your state, I'm sure. It's a lot like pedophilia in the 50s. It's illegal, but we're still okay with it as a culture so the laws don't get enforced. People that think it's okay are the only reason this still happens.

FABIO - 2012-11-16

I couldn't tell if Homer was making a sarcastic WAKE UP SHEEPLE remark, but the comment about prisons being better off run by private industry clinched it.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-11-16

I read all of Blue's comments in the same voice as Brandon from Dead Rising 2.

EvilHomer - 2012-11-16

Blue - Actually, I sort of agree with you there. We are all, at least partially, responsible for what the state "does on our behalf". That's a big part of why I tend to be skeptical about letting the state do anything "on my behalf". I voted for Gary Johnson, but of course, he lost. Oh well. What more can I do? Armed revolution? Build my own utopia under the ocean? What do you do, to make yourself less guilty of second degree prison rape?

FABIO- Me, sarcastic, never.

But really, calling the US prison "private" is both wrong and horribly misleading. The US prison industry is, like so much else in this country, a sort of Keynesian corporatist hybrid- not quite nationalized, not quite private. It consist largely of insulated, nonaccountable paragovernmental agencies who work through contracted bids handed down to them by the state. It's a closed market, created, maintained, and controlled by the state, legitimized through (and provided raw materials directly from) the state's legislatuve and judicial branches. It's "private", in the sense that at least part of the "manufacturing" side is operated by nonelected officials, but it's hardly a free market.

So how about this, just an idea. Why not open up the prison system? To the idea of "consumer choice"? Allow prisoners to choose which prison facilities to attend, within practical limits imposed by the severity of their sentence. Make the prison-industrial system compete for it's customers. You can keep the almost entirely tax funded payment system (no need to revert to a Victorian rich prison/ poor prison setup), just give prisoners the option to select what prison they want on an individual basis, rather than having it chosen for them by a single corrupt, bureaucratic entity. It would then be in the prison-industrial system's best interest to produce RESULTS - as measured by access to rehabilitation services, quality of life, rape prevention safeguards, and other things- rather than the current "optimal strategy" of simply producing repeat business at the cheapest possible cost.

Like in so many other areas of modern society, "profit" isn't what's wrong here, rather, it's HOW that profit is acquired. If you make the prison-industrial system's profits accountable to performance, rather than an entitlement delivered via corporate welfare, things should improve very quickly.

HarrietTubmanPI - 2012-11-16

Evil homer, you voted for a guy who wants the state to ban pornography, and homosexual marriage among other things. Did anyone who voted for Johnson actually read the party platform? It's fascism.

EvilHomer - 2012-11-16

Obama said he'd close Gitmo, look how well that worked out.

Anyways, I wasn't aware that Johnson was opposed to either porn or gay marriage. There's certainly a sizeable number of "libertarians" (i.e. conservative Republicans who suddenly realized they hate the government once Bush was ousted) who actively want to ban those things, but to my knowledge neither Johnson nor The Libertarian Politburo were willing to pander to that base (all of whom were going to vote for Romney, anyway) On the contrary, Johnson's been a pretty solid backer of gay marriage- even outqueering Obama (who was, as you'll recall, pretty leery around gay marriage even as far back as the heady days of his early progressive/socialist hype period, c 2005)

Do you have some sources on this? I admit, I may have missed the sudden implementation of "Libertarian Opposite Day", what with all the big media focus and public outrage over Jill Stein getting handcuffed to a goddamn chair for the crime of trying to participate in a presidential debate.

HarrietTubmanPI - 2012-11-16

Read the Constitution party platform. Why would Johnson run with that party if he didn't agree with the platform?

HarrietTubmanPI - 2012-11-16

http://www.constitutionparty.com/OurPrinciples/2012Platform/tabid/ 127/Default.aspx

Spoonybard - 2012-11-16

Unless convicts are paying to get into their preferred prisons, that kind of competition makes no sense at all. And if they ARE paying to get into their preferred prisons, then obviously you're going to have different facilities for the rich and the poor.

Senator_Unger - 2012-11-16

Virgil Goode was the Constitution Party nominee. Johnson was the Libertarian Party nominee. The Constitution and Libertarian parties are worlds apart.

HarrietTubmanPI - 2012-11-16

My bad. I still view libertarians in a poor light so there is that. I stand corrected!

EvilHomer - 2012-11-17

Spoonybard - how so? Money is money, whether it comes directly from the consumer, or from the state. It's not like prison just "happens" to people, for free; prisoners are always "paying" for their stay, that's what makes them such an attractive market segment for private corporations. All I'm suggesting is that prisoners be given an active role in choosing where their state-issued "rent" checks get sent.

In fact, I'd even go so far as to say we'd see LESS classist stratification in prisons. We've all heard the term "white collar prison", right? Nice, comfy, relatively easy prisons reserved for the "least objectionable" class of prisoners? The biggest difference between them and conventional prole prisons is in quality of life and access to services, which again, should improve across the board once we empower prisoners to start voting with their (government alloted) wallets.

Harriet- Yeah, that's the CP. Those guys are something else. I don't know anyone who voted for them, but it's probably the old LaRouche set.

I know you don't like libertarians, but I think you'd find that, so long as the subject steered clear of economics and the role of the state, you'd be mighty pleased with their social platform. They out prog the Dems, at least, and I'd argue that due to their core mistrust of state authority and non-mutual relationships, they're a more natural fit for championing social freedoms.

Not that it matters anymore, but re: his position on gay marriage, you might find this interesting:

www.garyjohnson2012.com/gary-johnson-criticizes-obama-for -throwing-gay-marriage-to-the-states

Spoonybard - 2012-11-17

If the public is footing the bill, prisons should compete in terms of their net benefit to society, not on how attractive their facilities are to convicts. Less crowding and improved care may better serve the interests of rehabilitation, but what you propose merely prioritizes the prisoner's comfort, not his betterment.

fourthguy - 2012-11-16

How do we know this kid is from 4chan? Either way, stars for the sociopathic cruelty of the US prison system.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-11-16

Because instead of pleading guilty or not guilty, he pleaded 'desu'.

DriverStabby - 2012-11-16

Nono, he tried to greentext his official statement.

EvilHomer - 2012-11-16

When questioned about his motive, he said he "did it for the lulz".

Blue - 2012-11-16

For you.

I actually knew someone that called himself "Desu". He was an awful person that came across as a fucking idiot every time he spoke.

If you've ever read the dating advice on TSGirlfriend and wondered what kind of fucking idiot would need to have it explained to him that he might want to wash his dick before asking a girl to go down on him, he was the fucking answer.

klingerbgoode - 2012-11-17

I don't think he's really from 4chan, at least I can find no links from him to 4chan on the internet. I think whoever uploaded the video is just insinuating that he resembles a typical 4channer in real life.

anyway 5 stars for evil.

Simillion - 2012-11-16

"Little does Boggs know, 'Brittany' is slang for prison-made anal beads, formed from bic-lighter melted plastic sporks. The beads often have sharp edges, and can cause horrendous rectal damage."

"First, I'd just like to get to know you...maybe cut you a little. Laugh out loud."

"So I take it you're a virgin?"

EvilHomer - 2012-11-16

I like rape!

Hank Friendly - 2012-11-16

True story: I watched this on natgeo and was, like many, captivated by this pathetic, quivering creature enough to look up him up on the internet. There is, somewhere on the WWW, a forum of people who no joke banded together and have campaigned over an extended period of time to actually make his life easier, because of what they saw of him on television. I found it more or less mind blowing that people would take the side of a felon they had never met and petition the state to set him free and generally regard him as a saintly ne'er do well who was merely the victim of circumstance. I cite the old adage "don't do the crime if you can't do the time" as a representation of my opinion on the issue, but no shit this is a shockingly frank example of how people like to let reality television influence their lives.

http://incubator.nationalgeographic.com/inside_ngc/2007/11/loc kdown-prison-nation.html

head on down the rabbit hole folks

The God of Biscuits - 2012-11-16

Just because someone is guilty of a crime, does not mean they should be subjected to this type of torture in an animalistic, id-fueled ghetto. Prison should be about rehabilitation, not about simply segregating and promptly forgetting everyone with the label of "criminal", no matter how deserving of that label they are.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-11-16

I think it's some kind of Florence Nightingale effect.

Blue - 2012-11-16

Many of those people are in there for a crime that literally the last four presidents are guilty of. Those are the people that bear the brunt of this abuse. Not that this should be happening to nonviolent offenders, either. There's a reason our constitution forbids this behavior. It's the same reason rapist shits like you don't just set up fucking rape rooms and call them that.

You deserve to die in a fucking fire for supporting this. That doesn't mean that it's okay for other people to set you on fire.

Seriously, the rest of us have the right to have the people that get sent to prison come out safer than they went in. People arrested for drug possession come out violent, racist, hiv+ and with a very understandable vendetta against the community at large.

You people think of rapists as magical black men. They appear out of nowhere, teach some awkward white kid an important lesson with their dicks, and then they disappear into the mists. But remember, the kid that raped this kid is going to return to our community. He's not going to jail for that rape. He's probably going to rape someone out here. We paid a lot of tax money to turn a kid that did drugs into a violent, unregistered sex offender. Can you seriously not see what the fuck is wrong with that?

FABIO - 2012-11-16

"The rest of us have the right to have the people that get sent to prison come out safer than they went in."

I've always wondered what would happened if you took the typical progressive agenda and instead of trying to play up the audience's sense of empathy, reframed it as the same kind of macho rhetoric that reactionaries have monopolized for over a century. Keep the same admirable end goal, just completely rewrite the delivery and watch the NRA crowd's brains short circuit like an evil robot fed a paradox.

Vicious - 2013-04-15

Blue you have a beautiful insanity.

Toenails - 2012-11-16

Q: What If Somebody Gave A Troll And Nobody Cared?

A: These beautiful videos, obviously.

Toenails - 2012-11-16

somehow I commented on the wrong video. Goddammit now I have to watch it.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2012-11-16

Even though he did a shitty, shitty thing to get there, and totally deserves to be locked up, I couldn't help but feel sorry for him when he was shown doing Dragonball Z moves in solitary.

White Trash Party - 2012-11-17

Same. You know at that moment he has no freaking hope of making it outside of solitary. None what so ever.

kingofthenothing - 2012-11-16

It felt like the camera crew was purposely trying to get him fucked up. They messed up talking to the one guy. "He said you played some kind of Tit for Tat game?" You know goddamn well he said "Hit For Hit", not mothefucking "Tit for Tat." Way to make him sound like more of a fancy lad.

"Tit for Tat? hurr hurr hurr hurr."

Kabbage - 2012-11-16

Fucked up.
