Honestly? Potentially really cool. But I've got a really bad feeling about this.

That CG talking monkey destroyed any shred of possibility this might be remotely as timeless as the original.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-11-18

This will be infinitely better than that crapheap they came out with about the wicked witch.

Dorothy and the Witches of Oz was an abysmal addition to the Oz movies. I'm getting pretty sick of "modernizing fairy tales and placing them in New York" movies.

I like the casting choices. I look more forward to the film adaptation of Wicked, but this will do nicely.

EvilHomer - 2012-11-18

What about Enchanted, ROUS? Everyone likes Enchanted.

lordyam - 2012-11-18

none of those compare to return to oz. the wheelers still scare the shit out of me

Old_Zircon - 2012-11-18

Return To Oz is the best. I came in here just to post that.

Kabbage - 2012-11-18

Return of Oz is good in spite of so much just by virtue of having awesome special effects and set design and costumes. There's a lot of charm there.

Adham Nu'man - 2012-11-18

It looks fairly decent as far as Hollywood crappy fantasy CGI 3D vehicles go... Which isn't saying much...

cognitivedissonance - 2012-11-18

James Franco gives me tingles in my nether parts but I might skip this one.

Dread Pirate Roberts - 2012-11-18

I honestly don't know how I feel about this. There is a LOT of potential here. Franco and Kunis are both very decent actors... but Sam Raimi? Why not invite Del Toro to do this kind of movie? It's right up his alley.

Probably a rental/netflix flick. I doubt I want to drop for this one.

Jane Error - 2012-11-18

I'll withhold judgement as the cast shows someone discerning might have been involved with this, but lordy I wish Hollywood would start showing some goddamn restraint when it comes to CGI.

EvilHomer - 2012-11-18

WAAAOOOOOUUG, I don't wanna die! I haven't accomplished anything yet!

Oh, Sam Raimi. What has the world done to you.

Old_Zircon - 2012-11-18

Sam Raimi should have retired after The Quick and the Dead.

Binro the Heretic - 2012-11-18

He seems really pissed off at us lately.

memedumpster - 2012-11-18

Okay, I had to long ago admit to many that I was stupid about Return to Oz and it was a movie too good for the likes of me.

This, I am fairly confident in saying, is absolutely retarded. It looks like a bunch of coked up studio rapists sat around trying to decide how much Lord of the Rings and Narnia would have to puked up this movie's asshole to make it palatable to fat Burton ham rancors and bros.

lordyam - 2012-11-18

HA you gets me stars. -1 cause

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-11-18

meh.

StanleyPain - 2012-11-18

Ok, I'm confused. All of the witches are accounted for in this trailer. Mila Kunis is the wicked witch of the west, and rachel weisz is the wicked witch of the east I take it, so who the fuck is the other wicked witch that is unrevealed? Would it really have been that hard to make a movie somehow rooted in the books? (the Frank Baum books, I mean, not those gregory macguire pieces of shit)

memedumpster - 2012-11-18

The Wicked Witch of the Producer's Untalented Niece.

Hammer Falls - 2012-11-19

Glinda, the good witch.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-11-23

Wicked is amazing you philistene.

And it's coming to theaters in a few years.

Toenails - 2012-11-18

Oh boy, another year of people saying "We're not in Kansas anymore..."

Hahaha we get it, Kansas sucks.

Hammer Falls - 2012-11-19

The unrevealed one, assuming you're talking about the green hand at the end, will probably be one of the wicked ones after a transformation for some reason.
