Now that's a performance, kids.

I think the green haired guy started a fire once.

DriverStabby - 2012-11-17

No, stupid. That was Drew Barrymore.

poorwill - 2012-11-17

Terrible.

If this is too much for you, breathe with me.

lol j/k, fuck you prodigy. Fuck you 90's. Fuck you, ever present advertisers and record execs, who shaped my concept of the world throughout my teens. Fuck.

I don't care either way about this video, but it gets 5 stars because you feel so deeply about things.

Wonko the Sane - 2012-11-18

How anyone could care so much about a two hit wonder from the nineties is baffling

Accidie - 2012-11-18

I always liked prodigy. My roommate used to put them on while he was getting laid and I always suspected he was having better sex than me.

The Fat of the Land was and is a great album, but The Prodigy (like many other electronic bands) had awful live shows, made even more ridiculous by the punk-rock imagery that worked well in their videos, but didn't look quite as cool when you realized it was just three hype men jumping around going "yeah! yeah!" while a white dude pushed some buttons in the background. 4 stars for reminding me of their pathetic live shows.

The Prodigy taught the world that sampling equipment can be shoved uncreatively into the hole normally reserved for talent, thus birthing the great genre of mass produced throwaway non-music done by kids on their computers.

ItsAboutTime - 2012-11-18

Yes this is absolutely shit to watch.
However, Liam Howlett, the man behind this act, is a skilled DJ. Check the Dirtchamber Sessions for proof.

Prodigy were a brilliant act in the early 90s when the rave scene was first bubbling up and you would occasionally get artists who earnestly had a passion for electronic music and have it show through their output. Some of the early Liam Howlett vinyls like Charly and Android absolutely defined that moment in musical history in my opinion. I think Prodigy went way downhill over time and their newer stuff since Fat of the Land is pretty awful, but they unfairly took the majority of the blame for the supposed "death" of so much of the early techno scene which is bullshit. Even if you think Prodigy sucked, there were so many shitty fucking artists farting out dub plates at a mile a minute and THAT was what killed whatever the "scene" was, not just because Prodigy made it big.
