Being a black guy on Japanese TV has got to be the funnest job in the world.

And damn, some of those punishments were REALLY cheap.

Wired had a neat story about these shows recently. All Japanese TV comedians go to a college (roughly 2% ever make it to TV) where some of their courses basically involved how to be funny while on these Fear Factor type shows. So their class is just them getting slapped, kicked in the junk and sticking their hands in scalding water and attempting to out mug each other.
