I'm pleasantly surprised, that was not how I thought this review was going to go at all. Instead of going the "Bieber's a fag" route, they limited it to one small fag joke, and kept the rest classy.
They probably realize that a fight with Bieber is a fight they'd lose; he's too big of a monster with the coveted teenager demographic. They're most likely positioning themselves, in hopes of picking up some scraps if Bieber ever goes the way of Vanilla Ice and Tila.

Prickly Pete - 2012-12-27 You're over thinking it. It's mostly that they are big advocates of "It can't be crap if people like it," since that's how they so often have to defend themselves. In that same vein, they rarely straight up trash other artists even if they don't like the music, big or small.

EvilHomer - 2012-12-27 I dunno, I've learned never to underestimate ICP. They may be idiots, but they also posses a certain animal cunning when it comes to the business of being in business. They're like KISS and the Dead - they've carved out a small, but fertile and remarkably sustainable, ecological niche for themselves. That sort of success doesn't come by accident.
Consider ICP's image. They market themselves to white, working class "outsiders", the sort of people who'd usually look at Bieber - popular, trendy, "mainstream"- with scorn. You'd think they'd want to play to their juggalo crowd, make fun of Bieber and the "Bieber lifstyle" Other. But they don't. They actually play it as if Bieber is "cool". As if Bieber is not Other, but actually compatible with Juggalo. Why?
I think they're playing the long game, here.
